Hi
I am a linux administrator.
I have got some problem with using samba as NT domain
controller.
The follow is my problem:
I have configured sama as NT domain controller by
following configuration steps in samba documentation
package. Then I join windowxp profestional to the
samba domain, I sucessfully joined, but after windowxp
is restarted, a message is displayed When i try to
logon to samba domain: Window cannot find the
specified domain, the domain controller is
down............
Please help me!

Facing Problem for Window XP Client On Samba PDC
Hi,
i want to make Samba PDC, i have created domain and now when i give name of domain in WindowXP it requires the password, i do it by user name=root & its password. But it gives error. "Unknown User or bad password".
User name and password both are right. i have also done setting of Window XP

errors when setting up R2.4.0-win32.exe
Dear Ruser,
Today, i download R2.4.0-win32.exe, but can't set it up successfully. The
error informaiton is :
*"0x000038e4"memory quoted by "ox6c7f22b3" can't be "readonly".*
My operating system in WindowXP. Where goes wrong?

fail to open port of a game connection software
I have a software which build connection of WC3 to the game server. It works correctly under windowxp.
Now, I try to run it under wine-1.1.26+ubuntu 9.04. The dialog can show correctly. However, after clicking the button of "connect", it prompts that "it cannot bind the port", and prints the following text in the terminal:

Firewall enabled
Hi
I have installed and configured Samba using Tweakhound's model. I still am
having problems getting into my WindowXP computers because of the firewall
on the Linux-Suse 9.3 machine. I can access my Linux machine from the WinXP
ones but not the other way around unless I turn off the firewall.

i am Planning migrating my microsoft infrastructure to linux gradually.
i successfully migrated Fileserver, Virtualization, Proxy. now my
goal is to replace my domain controller holding 2003 server.
i have a mix client (33 clients) infrastructure including, WindowXP,
2003 Memeber server and Windows 7 while all are memeber of domain with
default GPO, though i wanted to use GPOs in future via samba4,
