Problem encoding sine wave in 1.1.6 and somewhat in 1.0.4
Interestingly enough.. I started playing around with preprocessing options in 1.1.6 and happened upon the denoise filter (SPEEX_PREPROCESS_SET_DENOISE). When i run the test tone using that option it is completely filtered out and I just get (complete) silence. When the test tone is intermixed with regular voice I only get the voice. So while i still don't quite understand why the test tone

Re: Xen-devel Digest, Vol 71, Issue 85
Hi all! Did the nested xen stuff make it into the xen-unstable (4.1-rc1?) tree as suggested back in January by Tim Deegan? My servers all run under FreeBSD 12.xx which was also the base for the apple operating system origionally. setting default_vsz_limit = 0 i seem to remember trying with no so great results setting to zero can cause memory over runs (espically with replication) etc i found that when i used the config i sent eariler (vsz_limit is defaulted (not set )) everything

Well I think a sinusoid shouldn't totally trash the encoder state, so I still think theres a bug lurking around in there. The denoiser just prevents it from ever making it to the encoder. Just from browsing through the speex code and from what I've learned reading through the mailing list, it looks like there are a few places where checks are in place to prevent sinusoids from

TDM410E card, 1 FXO module - how to dial Out
Hello Newbie question here: I have a box running Ubuntu Linux 7.10 "gutsy gibbon", and have a single Digium TDM410E card, with 1 FXO module fitted and connected to my landline. I have it answering the landline, directing to SIP phones, diverting to voicemail etc - and it works great. What I can't work out is how to dial Out from this single card. It is possible? if so, is

race condition bugs
We're using rsync to update the tables on our email relays, and very occasionally we get an error in the logs saying that a table has the wrong permissions. This is because of race conditions in finish_transfer() which mean that it does not update files atomically. This makes rsync not entirely safe to use in our situation, where the files being synced are frequently opened for short periods

RE: SOLVED - T1 PRI not announce "this is long distance call, please add 1 for this call..."
Thanks, Henry. It is very helpful for me. I also deleted the DIAL option "r" in our dial out trunk which fixed the problem. Dial command option r: Generate a ringing tone for the calling party, passing no audio from the called channel(s) until one answers. Without this option, Asterisk will generate ring tones automatically where it is appropriate to do so; however, "r" will

How problematic is it to have default_vsz_limit = 0 in dovecot.conf? macOS+MacPorts had this as a requirement even. IMAP tuning for Outlook 365
Hello, I'm looking for advices on IMAP config tuning for best user experience with Outlook 365. I'm currently using dovecot 2.3.4.1 (f79e8e7e4) provided with Debian 10. One of my users has Outlook 365 and an IMAP mailbox of large size with several folders (more than 3GB). From time to time as his main inbox folder is growing he can see some problems with its Outlook application.

wireless card for CentOS
Hi, I'll need to buy a new wireless card. I need a recommendation for PCMCIA wireless card that simply works with CentOS out of the box. By "works out of the box", I mean that it doesn't need ndis wrapper (or whatever it is called), kernel hacks, or whatever. Thanks

Can't seem to setup remote access to doveadmI'm using
I?m running version 2.1.7 under Raspbian Wheezy (and have been for a number of years). I want to allow one of my other computers to remotely issue doveadm commands to my server but can?t seem to find the right way to add an inet listener to permit this. Using ?doveconf -a? I?ve found the default service definition for doveadm-server. So I copied that and added it to the dovecot configuration with

creating a mailbox via imap

Wouldn't that be dependent on how Dovecot auth worker verifies a user exist and is valid? Such as for one method, database queries. How would Dovecot know

replicator: Panic: data stack: Out of memory when allocating 268435496 bytes
One step further in my quest to create a replacement mail server. I now have my old mail server (2.3.19.1, macOS + MacPorts) and my new (2.3.20, Alpine Linux, Docker, apk package). When I turn on replication it works, but, after a while I see: Jan 06 00:50:31 replicator: Panic: data stack: Out of memory when allocating 268435496 bytes Jan 06 00:50:32 replicator: Fatal: master:

Problem encoding sine wave in 1.1.6 and somewhat in 1.0.4
I am currently using speex and ogg to archive voice data. The data comes in PCM ulaw at 8kHz and I use a table look up to convert it to normal 16-bit PCM data. Whenver the sound coming in is voice everything works perfectly. However, we periodically run test signals through our system to determine link problems.. etc. This test signal totally hoses speex during playback, but only when you try to
