VoiceMail - no user pre-registration
...Call comes in * Called number is analysed (e.g. 44123456) * Call is routed to default voicemail messages * Message is recorded (for the 44123456 number) ~~~~~~ * When number (44123456) dials voicemail system via voicemail service number * the A number is analysed and checked if voicemails are present on the system for the calling number * if voicemail is present the caller goes to voicemail menu to list to his voicemail * If no voicemail messages are present, * hangs up. I am curious if such requirements can be realised in Asterisk and maybe you have another solution wit...

Processing incoming calls with multiple contextst over PRI
So I have a problem. A customer of mine wants a PBX, owns an office building. I want to sell him on asterisk. He has 4 tenants. I am using my asterisk box to simulate it. My asterisk box has a TDM400P card, not a PRI card. Don't know if it makes any difference. Anyway, I want to route incoming phone calls to different contexts based on the phone number being called. Here is my

Remote Voicemail Notifier / enter Dialplan on SIP Register
There is a patch on Mantis (http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=4371) Which includes several features. 1. Support for central voicemail server(s) with remote server notification via IAX In other words, this patch allows you to configure an Asterisk server as a central voicemail server and to send out voicemail notification to remote Asterisk servers who can then pass the notification on to

call is not going to Voicemail with "1,n"
I've tried to simplified the dial plan and use "n" instead of numbers but I've noticed it is not executing my voicemail if I substitute number with "n" In the example below when the call is not answered, it does not go to voicemail; call just hangup. exten => 1,1,Playback(transfer) exten => 1,n,Dial(${sales_support}&IAX2/iaxy-322,20,jrw) exten =>

Per user voicemail greeting
I'm struggle to answer a simple question. One user at extension 4000 wants a custom .gsm file to play for their mailbox. I can't figure where to put it/what to set in voicemail.conf to achieve this: voicemail.conf 4000 => 4000,system,voicemail at ....net Relevant extensions.conf line: exten => 2,n,VoiceMail(4000 at voicemail) It all works fine, playing the system VM greating, but

AsteriskNOW 1.5 - app_voicemail_imapstorage.so won't talk to IMAP server
I'm having some issues getting app_voicemail_imapstorage to talk to my IMAP server. From imapstorage.txt, I've got the voicemail.conf configured properly, but if I leave a voicemail for extension 9999, I see no indication that the module is trying to reach the IMAP server. What am I missing? # voicemail.conf [general] imapserver=172.16.17.2 [default] 9999 =>

Asterisk VoiceMail: Is there a web interface for checking voicemail?
Hi, I'm very new to Asterisk. I tried VoiceMail() application. I'm able to modify extensions.conf and voicemail.conf to send a voicemail audio file to my email. It works great so far. Now, I'm looking into publishing those voicemail files on a web page. According to http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+VoiceMail, it mentions that Asterisk VoiceMail supports "Web interface for

DUNDi and Voicemail
Ugh. We thought we'd fixed some problems by using regexten and DUNDi. Guess not. We have a configuration with three Asterisk boxes. Phones register with a single, primary asterisk box under normal conditions. For voicemail deposit, retrieval, we trunk the calls over to our asterisk voicemail server. However, the voicemail server now has no knowledge of the location details of the phones,

Voicemail 0 for operator call routing
Does anyone know of a way to specify what extension is dialed when 0 is pressed in the voicemail system. I have a situation where there is more than one secretary and they want the 0 to redirect to the appropriate secretary for the two groups of people. So an example would be: 555-1234 -> voicemail -> Secretary 1 555-1235 -> voicemail -> Secretary 2 Any help would be greatly

Cisco Callmanager & Asterisk for Voicemail revisited
Some of you may remember back in May the thread on using Asterisk as a voicemail server for a Cisco Callmanager system. My own Callmanager system is integrated into an Asterisk server for voicemail (and other things). Back in May I was using H323 for integration, but since I've upgraded to CCM 4.1 I have switched over to SIP. The integration with H323 required using Call forwarding to send

Remote Office, Centrally Shared Voicemail
Hi, I'm trying to set up a remote office with its own Asterisk Server they'll have a dedicated land line, but we'll still want them connected to the main office via VOIP (IAX2 via VPN). I've tested using IAX2 to bridge between the offices based on extensions, since the extensions we want to share are in isolated blocks of numbers. I'm not sure how to handle voicemail though.

VOICEMAIL OPTIONS help needed
...ep, say, just the last 10 messages (as backup in case of email delivery failure or a message getting deleted in email accidentally before it is heard), purging out the oldest when a new one is received? (If we set the option maxmsg=10 on his mailbox in voicemail.conf, I think it will stop accepting voicemails after 10 messages, not turf the oldest one and accept a new one in its place). Everyone else uses the normal voicemail options on their phones, so the solution should be just for this single user. Thanks for any suggestions. S.

I have the voicemail format set to wav49 in my voicemail.conf file. When retrieving voicemails, the first message plays back ok - but then Asterisk hangs up and the log shows the following error.
