Getting Started with Databases
...veryone. Brief intro - I''m in the process of redesigning a website and I''m exploring programming options for the redesign. I discovered ruby in efforts to understand it and maybe make a recommendation. Anyway, currently I am trying to create a database and a table, and be able to vew and edit it with the web front. I am working from a tutorial called "Getting Started with Databases" located at http://wiki.rubyonrails.org/rails/pages/TutorialStepOne is where it begins. I am successfull until the last step where I go to view it online and I get the error message: Name...

explorer.exe crashes on security tab access
...on certain files (yes, just the window, not whole OS). Just before crash i see unresolved SID which looks like nothing I know (doesn't look like domain SID - maybe local user SID from samba member server?). All files that cause this issue are from any of the samba servers. Same files I can vew and edit "security" tab no problem on older micrososft OS (win 2012 r2 server or windows 7). I have samba 4.8.3 DC's. I didn't dig too much into it, so I can't help, other than confirm, that there is an issue with security tab under specific circumstances. W dniu 16.08.20...

Gnu sieve vs Dovecot sieve-filter - sieve-filter extremely slow at lda (writing emails to local mbox files)
...moth web email providers... Next, I do not know how to "pipe the messages to the dovecot lda". After downloading from my POP3 provider into a local mbox file (this is my step 1), then I sort the emails (this is my step 2): the following should be on a single line: /usr/bin/sieve-filter -veW -c $HOME/etc/email/sieve-dovecot-config.conf -o mail_location=mbox:~/mail:INBOX=~/mail/Inbox:INDEX=:UTF-8:VOLATILEDIR=/tmp/dovecot-volatile/%2.256Nu/%u:SUBSCRIPTIONS=dovecot_subscriptions ~/etc/email/sieve.rc email-incoming-unsorted As you can see from the above command, sieve-filter is given the...

Just delete extraneous files, without updating other changes?
Hello all, I thought --recursive and --delete-before might be an option and I can quit rsync when it begins the updates, but the incremental recursive scanning is disabled and this will certainly crash rsync as it was before moving to v3.x (too many files). I have no experience with --write-batch but I wonder if it's safe/sane to edit the resulting batch output file, or by doing a

By primary group I mean the group that is set by chgrp. that is the group returned after the pound key (#) from getfacl. In other words the Unix group and not the one managed by ACLs. / Kacper > Hello, > > I've seem to have found what looks like a bug in Samba 4.8.3.
