Help needed with Elographics touchscreen
I'm trying to get an Elographics serial touchscreen working with CentOS
6.2 using the xorg-x11-drv-elographics driver.
Touching the screen will wake it up if the screen has blanked, but it
never moves the cursor on the screen. There is also a keyboard and mouse
connected while I'm trying to get this going and they are loaded
automatically and using the evdev driver.
Here are the relevant

Any free video (or audio) softphone VOIP client under Linux with touchscreen friendly interface ?
Hi,
I'm curious if anyone knows of any possibility to use video VOIP client
(like Ekiga or Linphone or...) under Linux that could be operated by
touchscreen friendly GUI (bigger buttons, large keypad, etc...) ?
I like Ekiga, but GUI is small and cannot be operated via touchscreen... But
maybe there are some skins for existing clients that are more touchscreen
friendly ?

ACER T230H touchscreen problem!
Hi,
I am completely new to CentOS(a week), but work on linux almost 2 years.
This touchscreen ACER T230H is probably produced for Windows7, but works
also with Windows XP.
On CentOS works just screen, but not touch. I have no idea how to make
it work. Should I look for driver?
Please give me some advice!?!
Thanks,

Linux on touch screen device
...to me would be
a good web browser (maybe chromium) and thunderbird. I would also like
to have a decent on screen keyboard which could be used to ssh to
servers in an emergency.
I've seen instructions for booting linux on various devices, but many
people doing this are using keyboards and not touchscreens.
Do applications like thunderbird have to be modified in order to work
well with a touch screen or is just getting a working driver for the
touchpad sufficient?
If anyone has any experience with this I would appreciate knowing what
hardware your running on and what linux distro/desktop environmen...

[OT] Small touch screens that works with CentOS
Hi,
We want to display on a small LCD screen next to our meeting rooms and optionally let people book the room from the panel. We looked at different providers and those solutions either works with Exchange or Lotus Notes...
Since I already have code to fetch events from any CalDAV/WebDSV servers, I'm looking at building the system myself. So I'm wondering if any of you can recommend

Newbie: from the javascript way to the Rails way... Advice?
Hello;
I''m building an application for a touchscreen that pages through a set
of survey pages. On each page, the user makes some choices by touching
items on the screen (words, or images) and, when satisfied with their
choices, clicks the Next page button.
Rails has done a great job helping me get things to the screen, and
paginating for me... but I''m stuck on something

Voicemail box
Hello!!!
I am using asterisk with a usb headset and therefor no actual telephony
handset.
I have configured asterisk to use voicemail and I can dial the mailbox
via my touchscreen application. The only problem is voicemail asks you
to press "1" to hear messages. With a handset this is simple, but does
anyone know how to send the appropropriate command to asterisk without

Auto-boot single Windows App
Hi All,
I'm new to this forum.
Basically I want to set up a PC to boot-up to a single program:
Specifically SeaClear II chartplotter.
It will also need to run MapCall II (a chart organiser for SeaClear).
It also needs to support a touchscreen display.
The aim is to get an on-board (fairly low-spec) computer to act as a chartplotter.
So its basically going to be a single-function dedicted

Can Asterisk act like an ISP dialin server to data callls from Sipura 3000 or other ATA connected devices ?
Hi,
I have an older phone with touch screen from Philips. It have it connected
to Sipura 3000 FXS port and majority of features work ok.
But phone also has touchscreen and web browser that I'd love to use for
accessing my local web pages. But the phone only allows me to setup ISP
phone number (username and password) and it wants to call it to get to
Internet. Since it is

Hardware IAX phone (please read and reply!)
...or years, they
haven't built an IP phone before so they have to research the
possible elements used. Why not make it easier for them? :)
With Telos being a specialised factory, there's the benefit that e.g.
good-looking cases are no problem at all, and if low price wasn't the
goal, touchscreens and all would be an option too - maybe
some "deluxe" edition?
An alternative design that came up was a bigger (say, 12/24 ports)
gateway with some embedded Linux running on an industrial PC (as
beefy as circumstances require - any comments?) with plain RJ11
sockets on one side and Et...

Event trail info help request
G'day all,
I'm always running the latest wine built locally, daily from CVS.
I'm using Xfree 4.0.2 with a microtouch touchscreen, and I'm chasing a
mouse event bug.
I write my software in Borland Delphi 4.
For testing, I have written a program that simply intercepts the application
message queue, and filters WM_MOUSEMOVE, WM_LMOUSEDOWN and WM_LMOUSEUP events,
and prints them to a
