CentOS - Jan 2014 - CentOS on this Laptop

Just wondering if anyone has tried CentOS on this laptop.

some general comments...

15.6" screen with 1366x768?  *eeeew*.      that resolution belongs on a 
13" screen, a 15" screen should be significantly higher, maybe even 
1920x1024 (such as my wife's XPS15)

15.6" is a big laptop, rather unweildy for carrying anywhere.   8.5 lbs 
is *heavy*, too.
