Multihome routing question
...adding a route but am not sure how.
Interestingly enough I can ping the outside machines but cannot browse
over the net. I remember that this worked fine before I added the route
to the private interface, so it must be a routing problem and not some
other issue.

Dear R People:
Does anyone have any code for Fractals, chaos,
or anything like that, please?
This is strictly for demo purposes...decorative only.
This is R version 1.5.1 for Windows.
Thank you in advance!
Have a great weekend!

Using GIS data in R
...different data
structures. Can someone suggest a simple set of commands that will
work together that will:
1) load the shapefile data.
2) Allow me to test whether or not a (lng, lat) coordinate pair are
inside or outside the polygons defined in the shapefile.
Many thanks,
scott.

bagplot()
Hello,
I saw a little discussion about this in the archives, but it was unclear to me whether someone had
submitted a port to R of the Splus bagplot() function. If so, does anyone know where I could get
it? Thanks.
Best,
Matt

First time Wine--config problems
...ee the /windows/c/windows and
/windows/c/windows/system directories just fine, but wine isn't seeing them.
I've looked at the FAQ's and HOW-TO's on winehq.com, and I appear to have
everything set correctly in the config file. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
TIA,

Follow me on multiple numbers..
Hi Folks,
I want to setup a follow me routine so that asterisk can call me on the
multiple numbers.
I tried some of the samples at voip-info but there is a problem with those
examples.
I dont have coverage in my home area and my cell phone answering machine
picks up the phone right away so my home phone never rings.
I also want the caller to be able to leave a voicemail and the cell phone

Best Codec
We are evaluating starting a small VoIP consumer based platform.
What is the best codec to use with customers using primarily DSL as
internet connectivity?
I know that g729 is the king-all, but I want to know what the rest of
the professional are using out there. g729 has a cost involved, so does
the cost really offset the performance? Or is it better to go with g711
to start off?
We plan

Simulating from a Multivariate Normal Distribution Using a Correlation Matrix
Hello,
I would like to simulate randomly from a multivariate normal distribution using a correlation
matrix, rho. I do not have sigma. I have searched the help archive and the R documentation as
well as doing a standard google search. What I have seen is that one can either use rmvnorm in
the package: mvtnorm or mvrnorm in the package: MASS. I believe I read somewhere that the latter

duration of rfc2833 generated dtmf
Hi. I have a SIP provider which wants RFC2833 for the dtmfmode,
however I would like to increase the duration of the tone, its pretty
short and some IVR's are unhappy or don't detect it. I did poke
around, but it looks like when RFC2833 is used, it actually generates
rtp packets of some sort, so I have no idea how to increase that
duration.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

sysutils/fusefs-ntfs working for anyone?
Hi there,
I've been trying to mount my NTFS partitions with the NTFS-3g project's
FUSE implementation but am unable to mount anything.
I'm on 6-STABLE and have the latest versions of FUSE installed:

fusefs-libs-2.6.2 FUSE allows filesystem implementation in userspace

LevelOne WPC-0301 11g Wireless CardBus
Hello,
I bought a LevelOne WPC-0301 11g Wireless CardBus Adapter
today. According to the box it is "v6". The ral(4) man-
page mentions only v2, but that one is ancient and can't
be bought anymore.
So, enabling the debug sysctl gives this in dmesg:
cardbus0: Expecting link target, got 0x0
cardbus0: <network, ethernet> at device 0.0 (no driver attached)
