Cyrus IMAP and ipurge
Anyone here familiar with Cyrus IMAP and its util ipurge? We'd like to set auto deletion of our users' spambox folders, but I'm a bit paranoid about its functionality. The main things that confuse me are from the man page: "Ipurge deletes messages from the mailbox(es) specified by mailbox-pattern" with no indication as to what defines "mailbox-pattern"

modbus driver for phoenix contact industrial UPS
..., not a generic one. Unfortunately generic drivers and autodetection don't seem to make sense in the modbus world. I hope the phoenixcontact-quint-modbus drive name will be ok, I'll start by branching off the current master. I hope I'll have it running within the week. Release schedule
...ver. As we would like to create a package for both CentOS and an embedded Linux device we have, we would prefer if the package was based on a official release. If 2.7.5 is not coming soon (say 1 week) do you have a suggestion of a more stable 2.7.4-x commit to base our packages on? CentOS 5.2 -- how do I choose a wireless network?
Hi. We have a Windows laptop that has gotten too slow, it's borderline unusable, so I burned a CentOS 5.2 32-bit Live CD, just to try it out in the home. It boots up fine, but it does not connect to the Internet... Now we normally connect through a wireless network, there are several around here -- on the Windows box we choose the network to which to connect... but on CentOS there is

Patch for phoenixcontact modbus driver
I attach a patch for phoenixcontact_modbus.c This patch does the following: * Marks driver as DRV_BETA * Fixes stale data detection when cable is disconnected I can open a pull request if needed. Kind Regards, -Spiros p.s. please consider a faster tag/release schedule as currently linux repositories include old versions. Sure we can make packages ourselves, but it's better to have support and upgrades from official repo sources. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:...

A & C are both Unix machines. If I go onto my PC which is called D, I can request the following network map drive: //A/spiros which is a legal operation for my home. if I do a //A/B i am again allowed to mount User B's home dir eventhough I do not explicitly state the transition of C->A->PC. modbus driver for phoenix contact industrial UPS
...fine. UPS configuration is needed, and included in the man page of the driver. Is there any indication on the usual time it takes for a driver to be checked/included on the master? creating a user from an RPM package
What wizardry do you guys use in the SPEC file when creating/deleting a user from an RPM package? I was going to create a macro like: %define user(login, uid, gid, name, homedir, shell) \ echo "$1:x:$2:$3:$4:$5:$6" >>/etc/passwd; \ echo "$1:!!:12005:0:99999:7:::" >>/etc/shadow; \ echo "$1:x:$3:" >>/etc/group; \ mkdir

OT: Possible for Malware against Windows boxes to attack Firefox on Linux?
My belief is that this is not possible, but there are many extremely knowledgeable people participating on this list and I would like to know if it is in fact possible. I am running CentOS 5.3 (32 bit) fully updated. Browser is Mozilla Firefox v.3.0.7. I believe both times this happened, once yesterday and once today, I was surfing on the web site of my favorite singer/musical group; or in the

Facter fact length?
This is a bit of a leading question, but is there a limitation as far as length/size of facts on a node? I have a need to perform one way sync of user accounts (non-Puppet managed users) on many pairs of servers. Thus far, it''s been done with scripts from primary -> backup server, and has been problematic. I''d like to create a fact that returns user:password_hash pairs,

cloning a server
Hi, I have a centos 5 (current) mail server that I have compiled dovecot/postfix and installed some packages like mysql etc. These packages have been configured and changed to my liking. How can I now save all this and install it on another server without having to do all the work of compiling installing and configuring the same applications. Is it possible to burn this server image into multiple
