Equipment_URL Failed to Generate (new_equipment_path)
I''m trying to use new_equipment_path, which creates the appropriate
link. But, when trying to evaluate "equipment/new" I get the error
below. I''ve included my routes (rake route). Equipment is one of those
words that pluralizes to "equipment", so the singular is right (from
what I know from this forum.
Any help would be appreciated.

Calling Javascript function using observe_field
I''m trying to call a simple javascript function from within an
observe_field. It is possible to replace the :url with :function to
call a function. But since there are no examples, and I''ve tried a
bunch of iterations, can someone show me sample syntax?
I''d like to do something like:
<%= observe_field :FormOptions1,

UK Asterisk user, please pick up the white courtesy phone
So, I have submitted my configurations as public samples, and I
should have expected this situation to arise. I changed all the
relevant "private" configuration data in my samples to obfuscate or
alter IP addresses, passwords, etc. However, I left my email address
in voicemail.conf...
Let me tell you, it took THREE messages sent by a distinctly
British-sounding gentleman leaving

What is the most efficient way to split a table into 2 groups?
I have the following:
@lot = Lot.find(params[:id])
part_nums = Part.all(:conditions => ["id <> ?", @lot.part.id])
I guess I should mention that
Lot :belongs_to => :part
I was looking at the log following the execution of these two
statements and I saw something like this:
Lot Load (0.4ms) SELECT * FROM "lots" WHERE ("lots"."id" = 13)

data extraction in R
All,
I currently have a dataset with a variety of different columns, let's say,
A,B,C, and D. I'd like to run an R script that graphs only certain rows of
the dataset based on what's in column A. In awk, it'd be something like:
awk ' { if(A==5 && B ==6) print $0 } ' datafile | command or file
Since I have just begun using R, I am unsure if awk is compatible in R

Ashlee Vance's article on R in the New York Times
Ashlee Vance's article on R in the New York Times.
This is typical of the New York Times. Because they get to coast on the
prestige and reputation of their brand , they have a history of just this
sort of journalistic sloppiness. Whether it's the author or the editor at
fault doesn't really matter, they do this screw-up all the time.
Look, if you write an article on the first page of

alot of spam come across this ML in the past week or so (7 or so).
Just a "heads up" really.

Compiling Samba 3.0.4, err w/ krb5
Hello again,
I'm not attempting an install of Samba 3.0.4 from source. I want to specifically compile in ads and winbindd support. So, I already compiled and installed OpenLDAP 2.2.13.
Now the configure script is hung on krb5 dependancy:
checking for krb5.h... no
configure: error: Active Directory cannot be supported without krb5.h
So I downloaded and attempted compile of krb5 1.3.4, but

"Glare" condition - How well does asterisk handle?
Hi-
I have an upcoming application that requires use of PRI channels that are
primarily used for high-volume incoming traffic, but that are to be used for
outbound calling as well. Of course, one option is to have dedicated
outbound channels reserved, but this is an inefficient use of channel
resources.
Normally PBX's are designed to have the CPE yield to an incoming call if a

Problem with CloneCD :-)
Hi,
just out of curiosity I was trying to install the latest CloneCD trial
version on the latest Wine from CVS.
The problem I'm seeing is that CloneCD writes an entry to the registry:
\\HKLM\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\ElbyCDIO
with underneath (amongst others):
ImagePath(REG_EXPAND_SZ) : System32\Drivers\ElbyCDIO.sys
When I run CloneCD it tries to start this 'service':

Problem/bug report for "bad decrypted len" error in OpenSSH
Hi!
I think lines between 250-252 in file ssh-rsa.c in OpenSSH source code
should be commented ! ! !
REASON:
Using "SecureNetTerm Client" ( http://www.securenetterm.com/ ) with
"SecureKeyAgent" ver. 5.4.2.4 ( Or same is with Putty + SecureKeyAgent ) to
connect to OpenSSH server "OpenSSH ver. 3.6.1" using public key from Smart

Hi, people. Wandering in R archives, and seeing the message attached
below, I noticed that:
mapply(rep,times=1:4, MoreArgs=42)
still segfaults on R 2.2.0, and thought I should be a good citizen and
report it, even if I do not have an actual problem

R != S-Plus
David Brahm's initial post seems to me to be filled with a mixture of bugs,
wants, and needs coupled with a desire to "make" R become S-Plus. David,
if S-Plus works for you, why are you bothering to convert all your code to
R? No one has ever asserted that R==S (or S-Plus), and there is no reason
to expect this equality to hold, ever.
R is open source. If you want to change

Voicemail with NFS
I have /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail NFS mounted from another server. Everything is fine, until I simulate an NFS server failure, by shutting down the NFS server process.
At this point, Asterisk becomes almost non-responsive. It won't even process a 'sip show peers' command correctly. It displays a few lines of text, pauses for several seconds, and then displays the rest. When a call

Actually, their cut-off of Monterey had everything to do with their current
change in strategy on Linux back in 2000+. Monterey was established
before IBM's interest in GNU/Linux. After IBM realized that it could use
an economical complement in Linux, it saw

re-arranging data to create an image (or heatmap)
Let me start by introducing myself as a biologist with only a little
knowledge about programming in matlab and R. In the past I have succesfully
created my figures in matlab using the hist3d command, but I have not access
to matlab right now and would like to switch to R.
I have used the plot command to create a figure of my data and it does
almost what I want it to do.
My data matrix looks like
