Shorewall users - Nov 2005 - What should I pay attention to upgrade 3.0 from 2.4.x

I''m happy to see shorewall 3.0 is released.
My server is running 2.4.6 and I want to upgrade to 3.0.
What should I pay attention to upgrade to 3.0 ?

I think webmin shorewall module is another issue. I don''t think it
support new features of 3.0

The announcement of Shorewall 3.0.0 7 hours prior to your post got an
releasenotes.txt attachment starting with "Migration Considerations".
This file is available at the very same place you can get the new
version from.

If this isn''t convenient enough, you can''t miss a link to the
release
notes, if you start reading the official website from the beginning.

Sorry for the snide remarks, but Tom put a lot of effort into those docs
detailing any single issue, like he did with any earlier release. And
they aren''t hard to find, if you actually noticed the release, are
they?

FWIW, the Upgrade Issues page (linked from Support) covers the very same

I got it. By the way, if I do a rpm upgrade, should the existing conf
files be replaced by the new conf files ?

Those that have not been altered from the originals will be replaced. Those 
that have been altered will not be replaced.
