Eliminating For Loop in Comparison and Replacement
Hi, I have two dataframes: (Fails, Refurb) each is identical in structure. The structure has columns consisting of the following: EquipID(Equipment Identification), CustID(Customer Identification), FailTimes(Time Equipment Failed). The for loop below is part of a larger Monte Carlo simulation involving the reliability of equipment and customers. for (i in 1:length(Fails$CustID)){ j<-1

SIPURA SPA-2000 webserver dead after firmware upgrade
I just got a refurb Sipura SPA-2000 and was able to assign it an IP address with DHCP and ping the device, but then I ran the firmware upgrade utility to bring it up to spa2k-2.0.13g which seemed to work just fine, but after it rebooted I cannot connect to its webserver for configuration. I can still ping the unit. When I use the built in voice menu it reads back the right IP address, webserver

options_for_select - default nil value
I have a field in a view, like so: <%= select_tag(''quoted_condition'', options_for_select([''NEW'',''RETAIL'',''OEM'',''REFURB''], ''NEW'')) %> This sets the ''selected'' value to ''NEW'' - however, I would like to have a nil value here, so I can

If any one is interested, I have a brand new AS400 sitting upstairs in my computer room, it was a bought as surplus item, never used. I just hung onto it. It can be yours cheap, not wanting an arm and a leg for it, I would be open to a nice offer if anyone has an interest. john plemons On 10/30/2018 3:37 PM, mark wrote: > Mark Rousell wrote: >> On 30/10/2018 17:14, Simon Matter

Paradyne Jet Fusion
I don't know if anyone had used these boxes yet. I've installed some, but not connecting to an * system. The guys who ordered them said they ran about $600. They are pretty cool in that you designate what the port will be either Data, FXS, or FXO(not fully implemented yet) This is a "NEW" price too, not a refurbed price. I don't know about anyone else, but I've not

New C7960 won't tftp?
Just received a new Cisco 7960 (not refurb, but brand new) and it won't tftp the initial config file (OS79XX.TXT) from an FC3 box. The 7960 does get an appropriate dhcp response including the tftp address. Using a sniffer, I see the tftp request being sent from the 7960 to the FC3 box, but the FC3 box responds with error code 4 (Illegal TFTP opertion) and an error message of "Request not

Netgear WGT Flash-fest at Astricon
...and who would like to play around with embedded Asterisk on the Netgear WGT634U platform. If you want to "bring your own" to the show, I'll be bringing all the appropriate stuff to flash them there with my latest openWGT/Asterisk build. They are available from www.justdeals.com, refurbs, for $44.95 delivered. You'll also need a USB flash drive. I use 256MB, but Asterisk can be set up to use as little as 32MB. CentOS on Compaq Proliant Rackmount Servers
Greetings, Can anyone relate experience(s) installing CentOS on Compaq rack mount servers units please? Easy no problem, easy some issues, or ghastly do not do it under any circumstances... ;) Basically, I'm looking at some used/refurb dual PIII units and will run RAID on Compaq built in SCSI or is it easy to pop in some 3ware SATA in them? Let me know in terms of CentOS 3 and/or 4 please.

Best practice in small office
Hi folks, I've been reading the definitive guide to samba3 and Samba3 by example as well as scouring on line for advice. Sometimes however I find different suggested solutions to the same problem, so perhaps the list can give me some help with current strategies for these issues. We are a small office and are currently going through an IT refurb. Previously we've had a mix of laptops and

Continuance on Polycom issue, not ringing
Ok, so I emailed the list earlier about my polycom phone not ringing when anyone called in. Well, polycom support said that is impossible that this could happen because of a change in a configuration file. However the new phone arrived today (a refurb.) and it also would not ring. So I obviously got rather frustrated and blasted away all of my configuration files from the FTP server. I then copied

nut-scanner, SNMPv3, APC UPS not chatting
I'm trying to get SNMPv3 management working for an APC AP9617 card. It is newly refurbed, running sumx v3.7.2 and aos v3.7.3. In the SNMPv3 user profiles section I have (I don't care about the password leaking, it's temporary): User Name: nut Authentication Passphrase: NutScan at Password43LongerWord Privacy Passphrase: NutScan at Password43LongerWord Authentication protocol:

Cisco Support for 7940, Is this Right?
Hi all, Happy Wednesday! Got a 7940G off eBay to tinker with and, per the wiki, contacted Cisco about a service contract. Being just little ol' me, they won't deal directly and blew me off (I hate dealing with Cisco, Nortel, etc as a small-business person...) Again per the wiki, I hit CDW.com and found CON-SNT-CP7960 for $9.14. Looking for support for the 7940 (not 7960), I just

That's not a good idea at all. It doesn't need access to Internet to retrieve updates, I mirror CentOS and EPEL via rsync locally on my network

Cisco 7960 Sounds patchy.
I have gotten the Cisco 7960 working with my Asterisk system under SIP. The version is 5.03 that I am using. Cisco Support said I should not upgrade to version 6 yet. My next question is the sound is patchy when people here me. But I can hear them just fine not patchy. I have the 188 page Admin manual and it seem not to say anything about improving the sound. All other phones like IPDialog work
