So SAMBA no longer supports print driver downloads
...clients, upgraded the server to 2.2.7a and
had all the settings get lost.
Does anyone *REALLY* have downloading printer drivers to Windows 2000
clients working properly? Has anyone documented the steps as the ones in the
available documentation DON'T work?
My apologies for sounding so pissy, I've been fighting with this for
some time and this mailing list has been strangely silent when I've asked for
help - except for other people writing me and asking me if I've found a solution
because they are having the same problem.
Anyone have suggestions?

[RFC] Removing autoconf from trunk
The purpose of this thread was to propose removing configure on January 26th. There have been no objections, so I’m assuming that timeline is acceptable.

PRI caller ID
Below is a snipped debug on our PRI. We are getting number only for the
CallerID but the telco says they are sending us Name and Number. We are
getting the Name in a second frame but Asterisk is not passing it to the
device it rings. The message below says "Presenation allowed of network
provided number" which leads me to believe Asterisk thinks it should not
be displaying it. Can anyone

Packet
Hi Mongrels,
Anyone used Packet? http://rubyforge.org/projects/packet
It''s a pure-Ruby (I think) evented framework. It might offer a nice
way forward for 1.9''s system threads, JRuby, and Windows, all at once.
Mongrel''s green thread queue doesn''t have a lot of life left in it.

Is Asterisk really good??
So this is just a general question, Is Asterisk really good?
Reliability?
Functionality?
Customization's?
I am coming from a Nortel world, were you pay for everything, and you
can't delve into the software. But it seems that customization would be
a great thing.
Like, setting up a war-dialer to customer lists, incoming/outgoing
faxes (that's possible with Asterisk, right?) and

Sending Emails via Cron
I''m developing an application using RoR that will generate enough email
notifications that I don''t want them in the actual web application. So, I''m
thinking about having an outgoing queue that a cron job would pick up and
deliver. My question is if this is possible with a ruby script that uses
ActiveRecord and ActiveMailer?

Spacewalk? Local repo? Cache?
I have a mix of CentOS 5, 6, and now 7 servers at work. There are enough of them now that it is starting to make sense for them to get updates from an internal source.
I've seen RHN Satellite in years past. It looks like it may be a way to allow Windows admins here (familiar with WSUS) to update Linux boxes. A local repo might be easier to set up, but (as with Spacewalk) it seems like
