So far all seems quite ok, but then windows (I guess) tries to login with

HELP!!! (going crazy)
...p. I
have a SGI Octane that has samba on it then I have one windows 98 PC
connected to it (they can ping each others IP addresses so I know the cable
and network cards are working). I have set up samba to have a shared
directory of /usr/people/samba/swap. My problem is I can't get my server
(MONSTER) to show up in the network neighborhood on the PC. I thought it
was as simple as doing the C:\Windows>net use \\MONSTER\swap
<file://\\MONSTER\swap> command on the PC but when I do that it give me an
error 53: wrong computer name or something similar to that. I'm sure there

Samba 4.2.14 Group Policy (GPO) sync error
Can you run on a failing computer :
- netdom verify yourpcname
- nslookup yourpcname
All ok?
And is time in sync?
Did you install winbind after the update and also and did you change you server services line?
Like, i use bind9 dns
My smb.conf contains only this : server services = -dns
The full line is :
samba-tool testparm -vv | grep "server service"

Tricks :
You can target NPC and monsters using the "V" button and
clicking on the life bar which appears on them. But this bar only
appears
if the monster is quite near. It doesn't work on real players.
You can target monster with the tab button. This way can be tricky since
it targets the monster which FACEs you. Not the...

Music on Hold: CPU Intensive Monster
OK. So I did a test last night. All of asterisk's threads where using
0.0% CPU.
I made 1 call to our call queue.
CPU jumped to average of 9% and stayed around that for the 2 minutes I
was in the queue just listening to music on hold.
MOH is in MP3 format and I'm using format_mp3. Phone was linksys PAP2-NA
using G729.
Can I reasonably assume that the 9% was decoding the MP3, then

4Story charters, monsters, mounts are not animated
Hi,
4Story is free mmorpg game, some kind WoW clone. Its run fine but has really annoying bug reported here http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17488 by Pat and confirmed by me and Irfan Adilovic. There is nothing going on around this bug since February. Its not random bug its rather solid ;) so maybe finding it and fixing wont be so hard. In addition, as I said before game is totally free so

dbox - how to awaken the monster
Hello people,
Since the invention of this storage called dbox, I have never quite gotten
round to understanding it, nor getting to use it. It seems so strange to me
and I must ask a few stupid questions about it.
I use the MTA to deliver mail to Maildir, either in ~/Maildir or
/some/path/%d/%n/Maildir. It has always beat me how dbox comes into play
under such circumstances. From the wiki, I see

Asterisk Jobs
I'm curious why the number of jobs out there requiring Asterisk seems to be pretty low. After looking around dice, monster, careerbuilder etc, I was surprised to find no more than 3-4 employment opportunities with Asterisk throughout the US.
Is it really that low? There seems to be a job of opportunities for Cisco and other vendors solutions (duh... GUI's are good... duh). I wonder if demand will increase, or am...

Well, it quite clearly states the format is invalid. If I use the the FQDN of
the AD domain it works fine. The DNS search is also including the AD domain as
well as the primary DNS suffix is set to the AD domai...
