Hi all! I can't use the TSE licence server in Windows 2008 server. This Server is member of my Samba Domain. My TSE licence server is actived and my licences added, but when i want configure the TSE service and launch the Licence diagnostic the diagnostic failed. I think my problem is due to my Windows Server is not an Active Directory controller. What are the solutions : quit the domain? Activate AD on the server with an other domain? I would like...

Licences
...#39;re using. Is there a command (rpm, yum, up2date...) that will take the package name as argument and return me the licence? Or is everything included with Centos 4 GPL? That is the only licence I found in the repositories... I remember that RH had the habit of putting all the applicable licences on the distros' CD. iLBC re-licence
Does anybody know if the updated licence on iLBC makes it safe to include in Asterisk when used in a commercial environment again? https://sites.google.com/site/webrtc/ilbc-freeware It seems to require that the Google iLBC licence document is on the box, but that otherwise it is free-to use by all in any way (BSD licence style). I believe that prior to that there was a requirement to register

Package Licences
Are there any particular licences under which R packages must be released or is it the discretion of the author? The same question if the package is to be destined for CRAN? 729 licence on scsi
I Purchased 4 licences for my SCSI only machine. I do have a CDROM - with a mounted CD. The Registration binary gives me a 'Segmentation Fault'. Is this like telling me I can't register the licence? Unfortunately - I only seriously scanned the mailing list after buying the keys.... Seems like the licence in...

Legal issues for non-profit radio stations.
...you to get one! Anyway, keep up all the great work, Cheers, Mike Hobbs (Biz) transcript follows: Hi there, I am currently in the development stage of setting up an Internet radio station. I expect it to be ready this month, assuming everything goes to plan. Presumably I will need one of your licences to be sure this is legal - but I will not be hosting adverts on either the radio station or website as this is a strictly non-profit venture. As I understand, you generate your revenue based on a percentage of the licensee's revenue,of which there will be none, where does this leave me in terms...

New dcom95 mirror
Hello, as Jeremy Newman wanted mirrors for dcom95, here's a new link http://www003.portalis.it/115/download/dcom95.zip Note that because of the Microsoft licencing conditions, you are licenced to download this file only if you are going to use it with wine. Ivan.

Do I need a CH1 licence for Cisco Phones ?
I've got a question regarding Cisco IP Phones and licencing. When using a third party PBX like asterisk is a licence required for the Cisco phones ? Has anyone got anything in writing from Cisco to clarify this ? Eg can I just use CP-7961G or do I need CP-7961G-CH1 even though I'm not using Cisco Callmanager ? HYPERLINK

Digium G729 licence unattended install
...eatures of Asterisk is that we can install it on many hardware platforms. We've done our best to script this installation process, so that, in case of hardware failure, we can re-install Asterisk on another platform. The question I have is how can we adapt our process so that Digium's G729 licences (or other licenced software) could be installed without asking too long interactive sessions. Before digging deeper into this topic, I guessed the installation process could be : A- install operating system on new provisioned bare-metal machine, B- install interactively Digium's G729 program,...

G729 - what happens if licences used up?
I haven't been able to find the answer online, and am not currently able to conduct an experiment to find the answer... I understand that in a SIP call where G729 has been negotiated as the preferred codec, a G.729 licence is not consumed until there is a need to perform transcoding, e.g. play a non-g729 sound, or do voicemail, or enter a Meetme, etc. What happens when a SIP call in progress

Small Extension to license()/licence()
By analogy with maintainer(), I suggest extending license() to give the licensing terms of packages as well as R itself when prompted. Below is a small patch in that direction. This won't break anything and imposes no significant maintenance burden; it has the advantage of making it ever so marginally easier to know package licenses. Given the existence of license forms like GPL >=2, I

Making a new package: licence
HI All, I have written and succesfully uploaded a new package. The licence it is under is 'GPL' --no version. My assumption is, since all the code is written in R the licence R used for R would affect the code (hence my "GPL" stands for "whatever version of the GPL R is under") I am happy with the licencing I used, but I'd like to ask if there is any transitive

Licence for datasets in a R-package
...ackage is already reminding the users about the correct citation(s) to use). I thought a CC-by licence would suit this need, thus I am posting here to ask if: 1) It is possible to distribute these datasets as rda files within my package (which will be released as GPL=>2, thus two different licences will be needed for the package) 2) If a CC-by licence for these datasets could be included in the DESCRIPTION file, using something like "License: CC-by datasets.rda" for each rda file (this is based on this stackoverflow thread <http://stackoverflow.com/a/4317300>, but CC-by i...

nicecast licence
hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me how the Nicecast licensing works. http://www.rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/ Nicecast, as it seems to me, uses Icecast as an internal server. They list Icecast in their sources dir: http://www.rogueamoeba.com/sources In their manual they also credit Xiph with the statement: "Portions of this Rogue Amoeba software may utilize the following copyrighted material,
