there were 7 warnings. Then I ran make and it
errored out. Can anyone tell what's wrong?

there are fontencoding problem in Sweave
I want write article by russian language using Sweave. For cyrillic text
LaTeX use T2A encoding
\usepackage[T2A]{fontenc}
But in Sweave.sty we find:
\RequirePackage[T1]{fontenc}
It is source of critical problem.
For example Rnw file
$ cat estimation.Rnw
\documentclass[A4paper]{article}
\usepackage[T2A]{fontenc}
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[russian,english]{babel}

error installing/compiling kernlab
Hi everybody,
I''m using R on a 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty). I prefer to install R
packages from source, even if they are available in Synaptic. The
problem is that I can''t install/compile kernlab. Everything works fine
until it gets to the lazy loading part:

CentOS 7 issues with pdf manual / tex conversion
On a CentOS 7 machine, I am at a loss with respect to an inability to run a
full R CMD check as anything involving tex files ends in tears.
We followed the README at CRAN and installed a large number of tex-live
packages on this machine. But when a manual is created, we end up with what
follows below. Here, I chopped some of the error messages, the key seems to

Problems with Package Installation.
I am having difficulty installing packages. For example, here I have tried to
install "gplots" but to no avail. I have tried multiple mirrors and
different packages (errbar) but after installation I seem to be unable to
access any of the commands or help pages. I am a little concerned about the
'lib' missing message but this has been present for previous successful

problem installing fields package 3.5 on R 1.8.1 on linux
I am returning to using R after a little time away.
Saw some great new functions in the fields package and decided to upgrade.
Everything seems to go fine until I tried to actually load the package, when
I get an error:
>library(fields)
Error in parse(file, n, text, prompt) : syntax error on line 227
And (of course) I am unable to access any of the functions in the fields
package.

latex problem with Sweave output file under Debian
Could someone tell me how to end the trouble I'm encountering when
running latex on the .tex file produced by Sweave()? Sweave() seems to
process the example file
(http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~leisch/Sweave/example-1.Snw) without
problems, and the file example-1.tex produced is the same as in the Sweave
manual. However, when I run latex on example-1.tex, many error messages

Problem with "plflatex wrapper.tex"
Hi, All:
I encountered problems running "pdflatex wrapper.tex", as
suggested on "www.r-project.org" -> Newsletter -> (near the bottom of
the page). After 220 lines of seemingly successful processing, I got an
error copied below. I hit <enter> a few times, and the "pdflatex"
finished, apparently successfully.
Comments?

I finally got the Rmpi package to install! Yay!.
However, when I go into R to use it, there is an error with the dyn.load

This should be simple (allegedly).
Please help.

Building help pages
Hello!
I was just wondering, why only one of my "Rd" files is converted in
"chm" format (REGE) and the other are not when installing a package? The
output from installing a package on WinXp is below.
I tried to find more information about what "chm" format actually is,
however have found none.
Best regards and thaks for any replies,
Ales Ziberna
