But if one loses interest in a thread, it is easy enough to

1. Install procmail; yum knows how

Blocking spamblocked.earthlink.net
For those who don't know, Greg Houlette sent in a request from an
address that doesn't conveniently accept replies.
If people can't be bothered to read our replies, we shouldn't be
bothered by their requests.
Just a note. Maybe a request for a killfile.

You are unhappy with how your thread went, so now you're going about
trying to poison other threads? Welcome to my killfile. Only one other
person has ever been so obnoxious to me to make it on there, and I've
been in various mailing lists for almost ten years.
Really, you should feel honoured.

Duplicate Mails
Hi,
due to some idiot not being able to configure his Exchange server
correctly, this list has been swamped by loads of duplicate mails.
There were still several hundreds of mails awaiting delivery to this list.
I have removed all of those from the mail queue - so if you are missing
a mail you have sent, please resubmit it, it probably was lost while I
cleaned the queue as I had no way of

Flame war police
Hiya everyone,
Is there a way to disable a thread that has degenerated into flaming? The
recent "discussion" on /var/run descended into some quite nasty places and
perhaps a lid should have been put on it. This seems to happen every few
weeks and is somewhat embarrassing when I'm trying to persuade people of
the "active and friendly Centos community"
It was a shame that

root filesystem as ext3
I've turned my root filesystem to ext3 and also changed the filesystem
type in /etc/fstab. I initiated a powerfailure and watched booting. But
the kernel mounted root filesystem first read only as ext2 and does than
a fsck for ext2. The over partition, /boot and /vol1 (also ext3), are
handled as ext3. After booting all partitions, also /, were mounted as
ext3. But why root is checked as ext2?
