Phantom Rings
I'm having a major problem at one of my branch offices with "Phantom
Rings" on their asterisk-based phone system. The system was originally
built using 2 X100P cards and was recently upgraded to a Rhino R4FXO-EC
card. The upgrade severely increased the frequency of the phantom
rings. I've read everything I can find on-line about automatic testing
and noise on the line and

MGCP information
...now ?
The reasons for this provider choice aren't pretty - just that they are
the only provider with number migration capabilities in the CO where I
need them.

Zhone channel Banks
I've got a Zhone 24 port FXS to configure. The configuration is
beyond stupid. The people that designed this unit should be chased
down and fired.
I'm going around in circles frigging with all the options. Does
anyone have a config file for this unit that I can use as a starting
point?

Interesting Conference Request - Can this be done ?
Hi List,
I have a client that has an interesting request. He wants to have people call in to a conference room and all be able to talk however they should not hear each other. There should be admin access to for one user to call in and be able to listen in to everyone that is talking (they may want this admin to be able to talk to).
Any ideas ?
Thanks.

How to pay for libpri development
Can someone advise on how to go about finding someone QUALIFIED to make
changes to libpri?
We have a pilot stuck on hold, due to old buggy PRI software on a meridian
PBX. Upgrading the meridian software is not an option, so....we would like
to have libpri changed to compensate for the bug.
Is this a digium only type fix? I've called digium support but they only
offer support for their

Nortel digital FXO channel bank? Exists?
We have a client with a Nortel PBX with digital phone sets. Due to T1
problems (old firmware), we are interested in trying a FXO channel bank.
Is there a channel bank (or equivalent) which emulates Meridian digital
phone sets? In order words, an FXO channel bank that's Meridian digital?
Thanks

Asterisk with Primus Talkbroadband
Hey,
I've checked all over and can't find what I need to
know, so I'm posting here. I want to use Asterisk
with my Primus VoIP service but it seems I need a
username and password to authenticate with at Primus.
Has anyone had any experience with this? How did you
get it? Is it stored somewhere in the D-Link gateway
they gave me? Thanks in advance and sorry if this
makes no sense.

Anyone Installed a Digium TE110P or TE120P card in Canada?
The Telco in Canada is been real painful. I was wondering if anyone has
installed a Digium TE1X0P card in Canada and if their Telco was so
difficult.
The Telco will not provide us a service until they see a FCC or DOC
number for the equipment ware are connecting to their service.

Nagios and Asterisk
Does anyone have some decent Nagios scripts out there that do more than
monitor the proc itself? Rather than reinvite the wheel, figured I'd
ask. I already saw the one on the wiki.

Dry Copper Pair
Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to get a dry copper pair (also known as an alarm
line) from Verizon for less than $20/end? I know we have been able to get
them, but they come out to $40/month for a circuit.. and there's no
dial-tone over it!!!!

Is there any Asterisk controllable thermostat?
I am wondering if there is any such thermostat available which can be
controlled from Asterisk. Like you call your home pbx, dial some extension,
e.g. 333 and it asks to set the temperature, you enter a temperature, and it
sets the thermostat to that temperature. This thermostat will be very
useful, e.g. when you're coming back home after a few days and now its
snowing and you want home to be

OT ? Number portability, land line to Cell
Having had various issues with local vendor (begins with "V"). am looking to move to all wireless. Anyone know if current vendor can refuse to port the current land line numbers to a wireless provider?
>From what I've read, the Fed's seem to say "no", they cannot refuse, or impede this.
