*** Asterisk Sunday (hrrm) News: Moving ahead at CVS Warp 5
Sunday news is today published on a monday. Yesterday was fourth of july, and I used that as an excuse for being off line yesterday. (Sweden's national day is June 6th - and it's not yet a public holiday, btw). Most of my Asterisk time lately have been used for producing the registration site for Astricon and tracking down speakers that haven't sent in their material for the conference

I'll take this time to spam my own http://srobb.net/mutt.html page. Mutt does work with gmail. Hrrm, I'm looking I see I do have the password used in my msmtprc file. fcitx-anthy request (for Japanese users)
...issing? Well, I'm not the expert, especially at Chinese. I do remember in an older version of FreeBSD, to get it to work in firefox, I would use LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8 firefox from a terminal, and it would then work. I never figured out why (it worked with other GTK apps such as libreoffice. Hrrm, I don't think I tried in Thunderbird. Ah, also, in my .xinitrc (I boot into text mode then run startx I have, above the line calling the window manager export LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 Do you have fcitx-gtk2 and fcitx-gtk3 installed? I repeat, I'm not an expert on this, my skill is in googl...

[OT] Fetchmail and Mutt help
Hi All, I setup Fetchmail and wanted to use Mutt to read e-mail. I used to use Pine and I just am sick of GUI e-mail clients these days. Bloat, complication and unreliable. Pine was my first ever e-mail client. I prefer to use POP still as I want may mail on my machine at all times. I can go into mutt and execute: 'fetchmail -v' and watch it bring down my e-mail. But in mutt i dont see

Is mount_smbfs broken in 6.1-PRERELEASE?
Anyone know if mount_smbfs is broken in 6.1, I'm trying to run this: "mount_smbfs -I 192.168.1.2 //nbritton@192.168.1.2/music2 /mnt/network/music/" And then it asks for my password, I type it in, and then I get this error: "mount_smbfs: unable to open connection: syserr = Authentication error" I've had this same problem on another 6.1 box too... I can run this same

Sockets stuck in FIN_WAIT_1
I have a rather busy Apache 2.2 server; tons of small & some large requests. It's a standard Dell 2650 server using the bge (broadcom) network driver. I seem to have a rather strange problem where after just a day or so Apache just stops processing new connections. You can connect to port 80, but trying to get Apache to process any data just hangs. There is nothing strange in

Asterisk Newsletter :: Back online!
Time to reboot and re-start Asterisk, well, hrrm, monthly, news. It's been a hectic fall with a lot to do, both before and after Astricon. At this time, we're preparing for two Astricon shows in 2005. And no, we haven't made a decision on where to run the European Astricon, not yet. I am preparing to travel to the USA again this com...

acpidump crashes on some machines
Hi, we have some problems with acpidump running on Xen Dom0. On 64 bit Dom0 it will trigger the OOM killer, on 32 bit Dom0s it will cause a kernel crash. The hypervisor does not matter, I tried 4.1.3-rc2 as well as various unstable versions including 25467, also 32-bit versions of 4.1. The Dom0 kernels were always PVOPS versions, the problems starts with 3.2-rc1~194 and is still in 3.5.0-rc3.
