I have been using X-Lite on FWD without any troubles and recently became interested in trying asterisk. I am able to register from X-Lite and dial a number - I've tried dialing some of the sample numbers in the sample extentions.conf file, like 500 and 1234, they appear to dial correctly from X-lite but nothing else happens - no audio is heard. ...ts in both directions and can transmit audio OK. It just will not receive any audio at all on any of the 96 channels of the TE410P. The problem surfaced, by my test dialer failing every morning at 4:03am... Yes RedHat 9's /etc/cron.daily/rpm was the culprit.. ????? Any Ideas? using a zap fxo and zap fxs card how can I set up caller announce? like this. 1 call comes in and a prompt asks the called to identify themselves. 2 the system would then put the caller on hold and pick up the FXS and play the message for the users prompting them to hit 1 to accept the call and have it connected or hit 2 to dump the live caller to voicemail. so I just built a new system, Slackware 9 based, as RH was giving me a major headache. after getting latest (today) CVS I'm noticing that the dial command is missing via the CLI. any ideas ??

Greetings, This may be a bit arcane but does anyone know what the contents of a facility message should be for initiating a TBCT on an NI2 ISDN. I've been trying to get it to work on a DMS100 for the last four months to no avail. The message I am currently sending makes it to the switch but is returned with unknown message. Perhaps someone here has done it before and can help me out.
