asterisk users - Aug 2003 - DIAL via CLI missing

so I just built a new system, Slackware 9 based, as RH was
giving me a major headache.


after getting latest (today) CVS  I'm noticing that the 
dial command is missing via the CLI.

any ideas ??

Only gets there if it likes your sound card.  I f it can't open it or you
have it turned off, it won't enable the dial command.
