Steam Games - Flickering/Flashing Menu during Gameplay.
Hello. I recently installed Steam through Wine 1.0.0, but when I run DOD: Source, Half Life, DOD, or Deathmatch Classic, I experience the same problem. The game loads and runs fine, but the menu screen is flashing over the actual gameplay images every second. It's as if the menu screen is trying to stay on top of the game, but it's struggling to do so. I am using Ubuntu 8.04, Wine 1.0.0 and I have 1 gig of ram, 1.8 GHz Processor, 128 MB Graphics card. Unreal Tournament - variable speeds during gameplay
Unreal Tournament works great in 1.1.4, but with one 'little' problem - the speed of game (not fps, just speed of gameplay) is changing chaotically during gameplay - for example it speeds up whe looking on the floor - strange, isnt it?? Ofc I do own dual core processor, but commands taskset 0x01 and -cpuspeed dont work. I dont understand, the Native UT goes ultra fast (and with graphic issues) when windows version...

Trouble with Starcraft II, actual gameplay doesn't work.
I installed starcraft 2 into wine, and everything works perfectly fine. I log in, go to singleplayer, start a game with the AI, and everything works as it should. Gameplay asks for the second CD
Wing Commnader Prophecy (multiple CD's) install doesn't give any problem (due to its small pop-up format window) and the game plays well until I come to the next CD. Game grabs full screen 800x600 svga. Pop-up window for second CD appears, but I can not switch with <Alt><Tab> to desktop. What did I already try? Read lots of items on this forum :D

Hi all, I've been playing around with LLVM and LTO trying to compile some open-source projects. Prior to the 3.8 release I had been using r250630 (if I remember correctly) and I was able to successfully build GamePlay (https://github.com/gameplay3d/GamePlay). Steam games crash during gameplay
Hey everyone! I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 w/ ALSA and the Ubuntu-packaged ATI Catalyst driver for my ATI X1700. My problem is that I'll be playing CounterStrike or Half-Life or BrainBread for maybe 2 minutes if I'm lucky, and then suddenly my computer locks up. Dune 2000 freezes after a few minutes - Any ideas?
Hi there. I got a problem with good old Dune2000. Installing works fine and the game starts too. After a few minutes of fine gameplay (2-5 minutes [Rolling Eyes] ) the game freezes. Before the game freezeses, the cursor runs kinda too fast. It rotates like crazy but the game works normal. Any ideas? I'am using Linux Mint Helena 8 and Wine 1.2 (now rc 5). And yes, I patched the game to version 1.6 .

...y, i ported the game successfully (on my first try!!!) but i DID have some questions: 1) When I start up the game, the game's cursor appears and functions well but there is a sort of "wine default cursor" that is just set in the middle of the screen that does not disappear during gameplay. i was wondering how to make that not appear/ not be visible. 2) although most of the gameplay and effects are quite smooth, every once in a while (like every 15 seconds) the game sort of freezes for like a second. it is actually not that noticeable but i was wondering what kind of things i could...

CS 1.6 lagging badly (Intel 4500MHD)
...ying to play Counter Strike 1.6 on my netbook at my philosophy classes, but I'm getting a lot of lag (we're talking about <10 FPS here). Ubuntu: World of Warcraft 3.3.5a OpenGL and Intel GMA issue
...ter, it crashes and spits out an error via the WowError.exe, and if I don't use OpenGL, it can play, but the FPS will spike horribly at random times, and all player charecters are black shapes (the shape being their race) with hair, shoulder gear and capes/whatever they have. so without OpenGL, gameplay is, essentially, a ugly experience. what I'd like to know is how I can fix this. if you need the error, I can boot up my game with OpenGL and give you the error it spits out.

Mouse still not working properly on OS X with 1.4
...Fallout:NV, and Far Cry, the mouse will not function properly. On main menus, the mouse will be stuck in one quadrant of the screen, as if what the mouse thinks the screen boundaries are is not aligned with the actual boundaries. In game, the mouse swings wildly all over the screen, making actual gameplay impossible. I'm running this with the latest Wineskin, Mac OS 10.7.
