Argh!!!! Winbind Stability!
Ok... This is annoying. Winbind doesn't seem to be 100% stable. I am using 3.0.4 and Winbind is attached to a Windows 2003 server. I am cheating, using RPC rather than ADS.
So here is the issue. Generally everything works. I do a wbinfo -u and all comes back. I do a getent passwd and a good list comes back as well.
The problem is sometimes with individual users, I do a "getent passwd

Subjects on a mailing list.
Hi Warren and all.
Nothing personal, just to make helping everyone easier, I'm using you as an example. The subject: "Help please" doesn't mean much on a "Help please" type of mailing list. Put a good subject on your mail, try even looking at the archives for a similar problem and use the same subject. I found this helped to get more response to my questions. You

How to make an initrd for xen
Hi
How do I make an initrd for xen.
I''m trying to boot rhel3 in fc4, and it keeps getting stuck at
Freeing unused kernel memory.
I''ve created the device files, but it still doesn''t boot up. I''m
pretty sure that the solution lies in makeing an initrd file.
Currently my xenU kernel is 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4xen0. Can someone please
tell me how to do this?

However, as a new Rails user I love the PayPal gem and was wondering if
anyone knew of something similar, either out or in the works, for
BitPass?
Thanks!

GD2 to Make Charts
I''m just getting started with GD2 and have successfully made a few
dynamic PNGs. I need to make some fairly detailed line graphs on the
fly and I know that GD2 is capable of what I want but I strongly suspect
I''m reinventing the wheel badly. Are there gems or other projects that
help creating complex charts? I''ve used GDChart in the distant past
but I

Froogle found me one supplier for the SPA-841, not sure I trust them

So SAMBA no longer supports print driver downloads
...n strangely silent when I've asked for
help - except for other people writing me and asking me if I've found a solution
because they are having the same problem.
Anyone have suggestions?
To the developers: You are doing a HELL of a GREAT job - and I say that
even with the level of fustration i've got going right now.

Re: Carrara 6 on WINE 0.9.59, Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, Gnome 2.22.1...
Hi VitalBodies, I have just made the switch to Ubuntu myself, Whilst I understand I may never get Carrara to work, I have successfully installed Corel Bryce 5, Hexagon and Daz Studio 3 advanced under wine 1.2. The Wine App Database says that folks have got Eovia Carrara 5 to work with no problem but after installing this version along with the C++ runtime's, Carrara 5 under Wine will not let

I've had the same issue. Must not be many subscribers or they've moved on
to some other list.
I switched to the linux Shoutcast for my server (much more reliable) and am
looking for a replacement for ices that reliably re-encodes VBR. Let me
know if you find anything.
BTW...maybe if you posted your config files for ices and icecast i could
compare it with mine (or my old one for

wxruby, XRC, DialogBlock
I''ve been trying to figure out the best method for generating GUI''s with
Ruby. I ended up using DialogBlock because it seems like the fastest
way. But not I have to work backwards and have not done this before.
How do I go from the file I generate in DialogBlock to a code in Ruby?
