Will this ISDN card work for me?
...mp;ssPageName=WDVW
There are a lot available, and for what seems to be a good price,
if anyone else is looking for the same thing -- if it's compatible,
of course...
As an alternative, if anyone can refer me to a source for a card that
meets my specs, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO SO!

Some (lack of) answers regarding the wakeup call application...
...ntioned (either an internal scheduler or scheduled outgoing calls)
that I should work on a C version of the wakeup AGI scripts, or should
my (impending) next rewrite maintain the current architecture?
Anyone with specific questions about using my wakeup app, please email
me directly.

SpanDSP/RxFax anomalies...
I've recently started playing with the RxFax application on my
Asterisk box. I've had success, mostly, but I've had some failures,
too...
The most recent failure is specific to receiving from a particular fax
machine -- a "Canon Laser Class 9000S". The TIF images received are
readable, but the aspect ratio is stretched horizonatlly (or squished
vertically).

Any way to _always_ execute certain commands in a dialplan context?
I've got a need to do something like the following:
[foo-context]
exten => _.,1,SetCIDNum(123)
exten => _.,2,SetCIDName(XYZ)
include => local
include => tollfree
But of course, this example won't work. The goal here is this: if a call
ends up being handled by the "local" or "tollfree" contexts, I want
those SetCID*** commands executed. Otherwise, I

SIP wierdness after upgrade from 0.7.1 to CVS
...:55 WARNING[8201]: chan_sip.c:486 retrans_pkt: Maximum retries exceeded on call 711a908b607021080b9e9ce73337900d@198.206.175.251 for seqno 102 (Request)
I updated from CVS today, and I'm still getting the problem.
Is this a configuration problem on my end, or is it a bug?
Thanx,

Looking for US ISDN card...
...quot;DIVA T/A PCI",
both on stickers and printed on the circuit board. Is this a card that's
compatible with Linux and Asterisk?
If not that card, how about a "Eicon Diva ISDN+CT 2.0 PCI"?
Barring these, please refer me to a specific model and a source...
Thanks,
Rob

func_odbc still working in trunk?
Is func_odbc still working in trunk? I've recently (in the last few weeks)
started having a problem where my custom functions don't work. The module
loads, the configuration file is parsed fine, and the functions are even
created and visible in "core show functions", but when executed from the
dialplan I get a "no such function" error. Here's a bit of console

Teliax IAX problems -- Asterisk doesn't see answer
Not to point the finger at Teliax, but I'm having some unique problems with
their service that are as yet unexplained.
Incoming calls are fine.
Outgoing calls don't work, though they did at one time. As of today, I'm
running the latest code from CVS.

Compiling while * is running
I just fetched today's cvs (1/30/04 11:10:31). Compiles/installs on my
test machine (ASUS A7V, 900 MHZ). However, If I try to compile on my
production machine (Elite K7S5A, 2.4GHz, 512MB) while * is running the
zaptel and asterisk compiles seg fault. I am assuming that they will
compile correctly if I bring down * and rmmod the zaptel driver. 0.7.1
compiled and is now running.

Status of latest round of Allison recordings
Just wanted to catch everybody up. So many people contributed to the
work list that I'd probably miss several if I tried to notify just
them. Many people contributed funds, too, which I greatly appreciate.
We were able to get the entire list done, which added up to two full
hours of work on Allison's part. And that's just the recordings --
I'm doing the editing myself.

8 lines - best approach
I have 8 lines coming into an existing PBX system and am looking for a cost
effective way to replace the existing system with Asterisk. We need some of
the features in Asterisk, including its ability to support remote offices
(long distance savings).
At first glance this appears to require a T100P card and a channel bank, but
that seems rather expensive. My estimated price on that would be

Using an analog modem through asterisk (zap channels)
I've tried this before, with no luck. I've got to try again this
evening, and I'm looking for some help.
Here's my configuration -- pretty simple, really.
Asterisk box -> T100P -> TA750(20FXS/4FXO) -> phones and outgoing lines
I have an analog modem (Ok, it's a TIVO) that I need to be able to
dial out. Right now, I have the modem connected directly to an

Proposal regarding the "*80" vertical service code
I can't seem to get *80 to do its thing on a Zap channel. Looks like
*8 is being seen by asterisk first, and *80 is basically inaccessible.
What *80 is intended to do, by the documentation on the wiki and by
inspection of the source code, is add the last callerid to the
blacklist.
Looking at the source, I see the same behavior coded in chan_zap,
chan_mgcp, and chan_skinny. While *8

New batch of phrases from Allison
See the following:

I'll be collecting suggestions and requests, as well as donations, to
pay Allison to do another batch of new phrases for Asterisk. The
result will be donated to the Asterisk community, and submitted to the
powers that be for inclusion in CVS.
Please email me or add a comment on the bug tracker with your suggestions.

IAXy problems -- and no documentation
I bought an IAXy just about a week ago, and I'm having a problem with it.
I provisioned it without any problems. It's on the same network segment
as my Asterisk server. It registers just fine. When I call from the IAXy
to a Zap channel, it works fine. When I call from a Zap channel to the
IAXy, I don't get any audio from the IAXy, only from the Zap to the IAXy.
