I am getting ready to submit a list of department names to be recorded. This is what I have so far: Accounting Accounts payable Accounts receivable Administration Billing & Collections Complaint Customer Service Engineering Facilities Help desk Human Resources Information Technology Inside Sales Investor Relations Legal Mail room Marketing Printing Projects Public Relations Purchasing Receiving Sales Sales Floor Shipping Shop Support Systems Technical Support Travel If any one has additional suggestions, please e-mail them to me (jalspach@gmail.com or alspachfam@charter.net). I am fairly sure that none of the above exist (I was only able to search through the WIKI list, so if there are other prompts in the CVS that are not listed there, I do not know about them.) If I have made a dupe, please let me know so that I can remove it. I was fairly certain that 'Operator' was already available but I was unable to find it by its self. Thanks for your help. I plan on sending these off on Friday the 31st so please try to get them to me by then. Thanks; James

"Accounts" by itself would be useful. -----Original Message----- From: David Boyd [mailto:dboyd@fullmoonsoft.com] Sent: 30 December 2004 00:52 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Final call for departments HOw about : development Dave On Wed, 2004-12-29 at 04:51, Alspach Family wrote:> I am getting ready to submit a list of department names to be recorded. > This is what I have so far: > > Accounting > Accounts payable > Accounts receivable > Administration > Billing & Collections > Complaint > Customer Service > Engineering > Facilities > Help desk > Human Resources > Information Technology > Inside Sales > Investor Relations > Legal > Mail room > Marketing > Printing > Projects > Public Relations > Purchasing > Receiving > Sales > Sales Floor > Shipping > Shop > Support > Systems > Technical Support > Travel > > If any one has additional suggestions, please e-mail them to me > (jalspach@gmail.com or alspachfam@charter.net). Since Friday is the last day I can accept new requests fro this run, I wanted to post to the list what I have as of about 1:30am Pacific Time 30 Dec. This way people have Thursday to make any additions / suggestions and then Friday, I will send what I have on. The list is getting longer so don't forget to donate what you can, via PayPal, to robf at geekthing dot com Thanks; James PS I attached the Open Office sxc file since the PDF is too big. If you can not read this and want the PDF, contact me off list (jalspach@gmail.com) and I will send it to you. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Today is the day. The most up to date list is attached. I will forward it to Rob Friday night so, anything you want and can get to be by then I will add. The below is probably old news to most of you but, just in case you were like me and did now know... I learned today that Allison (the voice of Asterisk. thevoice.digium.com <http://thevoice.digium.com>) generally charges $12 for a single phrase or $160 for 20 phrases however, when we do batches like this, we get a discount rate of $120 / hour. Now this is recording time only. If we wanted her to edit them as well, there would be additional charges. In comes Rob Fugina (who is actually spearheading this recording run). He takes a couple of weeks to edit them himself, letting us get more phrases with he same donated money. He told me today that we are almost to the 1 hour mark in donations but, since the list is getting so long, he would feel more comfortable if we had a total of about 2 hours. I don't want to sound like a TV evangelist from the 80's and 90's but if you have it to give, please do. We have operators standing by to accept your donation. All you have to do is PayPal it to robf@geekthing.com <mailto:robf@geekthing.com> (Note, this is not me. Rob is the guy doing all the work.) Let me make up some quick, car dealer, numbers: I understand that there are thousands of readers subscribed to this list. Lets say half of them are active readers and half of those are using Asterisk seriously. If those 250 people remaining could just donate $.50 each, we would reach our goal.. This will make Asterisk even better and facilitate our retirement to "A Salty Piece of Land" somewhere. (ala a Jimmy Buffett tune or book) In the words of Fred Bartles (Ed Jaymes was the quiet one): Thank you for your support; James PS If you do not know who Bartles and Jaymes were, and you are from the USA...as much as it stings me to say this...ask your parents. (or if you are in a hurry, search tvacres.com or google). -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Thanks to your generous donations, people all over will continue to hear such great programming as Fresh Air, All Things Considered, Morning Edition and the BBC World News... Sorry, I meant to say - such great programming as 'Barn', 'Food Services', 'Security' and 'I.T. Services' Thats correct, we made our goal! We should have the attached list back in a few weeks (after they are recorded and Rob edits them). As for those from bug 3006 I am not sure. I believe Rob was including them (I was just putting together a list of departments.), but I will check with him to be sure. I would really like to thank everyone for helping out to make Asterisk what it is. James> > Alspach Family wrote: > >> Today is the day. The most up to date list is attached.
