Rmpi loads and lamhosts() shows the nodes, but mpi.spawn.Rslaves() fails (something to do with temp files?). Rmpi works fine with the Edgy-native version of R (2.3.x) and installing Edgy's r-cran-rmpi with apt. (But I need some other packages that only work in 2.4+!) Hi, I had the same experience as Jacint and had to downgrade libshout to the dapper version. I also found that I had to downgrade icecast2 from 2.3.1-3 (edgy) to the dapper version 2.3.1-2 in order to actually view the streamed video. Karim

...start with the sampler at 5 cm depth, it plots that one right. But the next depth, 15 cm, is measured at slightly different time intervals and so R will not plot the series correctly. Reading in the data using ? stringsAsFactors=FALSE? helps, but the lines are still plottet in an akward fashion (edgy) , see attached image.
