load balancing between two dsl links
Hi,
I am connected to two DSL providers (DSL 1 - 1Mbps downlink/384kbps
uplink and DSL 2 - 2Mbps downlink/512kpbs uplink)
I would like to only allow ftp, pop3 and http via the DSL 1 and only
smtp, ipsec and pptp via DSL 2.
How can I do so? Can I use iproute to route these protocols?
Below is my ip routing: -

OT: DSL without voice
A lot of people are going for the "VOIP only" approach, but SBC says you
have to have an active analog voice circuit before they will sell you DSL.
Does anybody know which DSL providers will sell you DSL without making you
pay for a voice circuit?
Thanks in advance,

DSL vs X100P
I was told the X100P will have issues if installed on a line with a DSL
connection. Is there a card that will work correctly on a DSL connection?
Thanks!!

problem - DSL line and Digium card
I was wondering if anyone has seen a similar problem...
I have a DSL line that doubles as a voice line to my Asterisk box. When
the Digium card answers that line, the DSL modem is disconnected until
the line releases. The phone line is split at the DSL modem then run to
an FXO port.
I'm using one of the 4 port analog Digium cards (3 FXO/1 FXS).

Installing Damn Small Linux and R
Installing Damn Small Linux and R
Following my experiences with Knoppix (described in
another mail) I did similar test on Damn Small Linux
(dsl -http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/ ). DSL was
interesting, because it is the smallest yet fully
functional version of Linux, hence more suited to
older and smaller computers than Knoppix. Importantly,
it uses lightweight windowing system (no KDE or GNOME)
so its memory requirements are much smaller. A...

Sharing a DSL between 40 subnets with htb
I have a network with around 40 /24 subnets that shares a common DSL,
this cries out for shaping so here I am trying to make it work as my
first tc project.
I have managed to cargocult some snippets from this list and tried to
come up with a config, but there are a few things that I''d really like
some input on:
1) Are the NAT''ed addresses ava...

PSTN Incoming call on real line disrupts VoIPcall over DSL circuit - EXPLAINED
DSL works by using the frequencies above 4k that were unused in POTS loops of yesterday. Load Coils, Bridge Taps, and DC taps are all devices added to lines to increase their reach and stability, unfortunately, they are DEADLY for DSL. Other problems can effect DSL service, and cause it to be 'flak...

VoIP experiences with Cable and DSL
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
A thought occurred to me;
Background;
In the early days of cable, the cable people seemed clueless to things like
over selling bandwidth. But as time went along they got it better and better
under control.
Of course their natural competitor, DSL, created a bigger demand for them to
get things under control.
Today cable is often giving 3-4Mb down and 384Kb up, and DSL is usually 768Kb
down and 384Kb up. (At least in my area.)
Under normal Internet use all we really care about is downspeed. So cable is
providing 68.27Kb/$-91.02Kb/$ and...

asterisk and verizon DSL
Is anyone succesfully running Asterisk behind verizon residential DSL? I seem to
be having some problems with my Asterisk server switching to Verizon. I'm
attempting to do some troubleshooting, but I'm really interested in knowing of
anyone's setup that already has Asterisk working with Verizon residential DSL.
Thanks

Moving from DSL to T1
I work in a small office and have fallen into the role of network support based on knowing enough about networking to be dangerous.
Our office is moving from DSL to a T1. Were using Asterisk as our PBX and I'm looking for hints or resources that might help me make the transition as error free as possible.
Are there well known gotchas that I shoud be aware of?
Thanks in advance,

DSL battling rojter - help!
My internet connection is through a Siemens Speedstream 4100 DSL modem
connected to AT&T (sbcglobal.net), and a Dlink WBR-2310 router.
Late last night, I changed the administrative password on the router,
and for some reason it didn't take right, so I had to reset the router
to get the password cleared. Unfortunately, this also lost all my
connection s...
