problems with chan_capi 0.3.5 , divactrl, eicon diva server, and kernel 2.6.10/2.6.12
...drivers.
If have checked both with and withoud early B3 connects dial option but
the problems are the same.
The relevant parts of my capi.conf, dial command used and kernel config
are at the end.
I am using asterisk-1.0.7; vanilla kernel-2.6.10 or 2.6.12 compiled with
gcc 3.4 in Mandrake 10.1, divactrl 2.0 from Melware, chan-capi 0.3.5
(with deadlock cvs-HEAD patch from levigo.de adapted to asterisk 1.0.*)
and (here is my main suspect) system isdn/capi libs/tools

[Sorta OT] Eicon DIVA with asterisk@home
Hi;
I've got an AAH installation where a customer wants to install an active
Eicon DIVA BRI card. AAH is built on Centos 3.5 which is currently at
kernel 2.4.21.37. Support for Eicon active cards is built-in.
I've debugged and run the A@H install-Eicondiva script but when I try to
run divactrl load -c 1 -f ETSI -Debug I get a response :
A: can't get card type for DIVA adapter number 1
dmesg reveals that lincfg.c has reported the error :

eicon diva BRI problems
Hi (Armin?) !
Today I had a problem with Diva Server 4BRI-8M 2.0.
Asterisk 1.2.12.1
chan_capi-cm-0.6.5
divas4linux-melware-3.0.f-106.622-1
Asterisk could not receive and make calls on the BRI ports, although the
ports looked fine within Asterisk.
I usually use "/usr/lib/divas/divactrl dchannel -c 1" to test line
activity. This time there was no activity (cryptic log messages) (I
waited for 10 minutes).
Then I restarted Asterisk - but no improvement.
Then I wanted to remove and reload the diva kernel modules, but
/usr/lib/divas/divas_stop.rc could not remove the modules....

CAPI on ptp with variable length digits in phonenumber: SOLUTION for EICON
Hello!
I finally found a working solution.
calling
divactrl with the parameter -n [0..20] gives the DID-length
means, if you wanna have 123-XXX in digit-wise mode, then call
divactrl load -c 1 -n 3 -f ETSI
and the card will wait for n digits.

Sebastian

using a Gigaset SX440isdn on a Diva 4BRI ?
...in NT mode and work with
asterisk+chan_capi?
I know they probably work fine with mutliHFC cards with either bristuff
of chan_misdn but since I have some spare Divas, I was curious about
their potential as phone ports.
The Diva's 3 and 4 ports are already set to NT mode at boot time:
/sbin/divactrl load -SeparateConfig -c 1 -f ETSI -f1 ETSI -f2 ETSI -u2 -x2 -f3 ETSI -u3 -x3
And I think the capi.conf (using Armin's 0.6.1 version) looks OK:
[DIVA2]
ntmode=yes
isdnmode=ptp
incomingmsn=*
controller=4
group=3

chan_capi-cm and type of number problem (ToN)
Hi!
I have problems with the ToN configurations in chan_capi-cm. I
understand how incoming calls are rewritten using national and
international prefix. But for outgoing calls - what is the ToN?
Further, is there any debug info of the Ton? "capi debug" and the
divactrl dchannel both show the CLI and CDLI, but do not show the ToN.
How can I set the ToN? I suspect chan_capi to use the received ToN also
for outgoing calls when bridging calls. How can I verify this?
thanks

Eicon Diva Server with v3.0 drivers
...ard running under Ubuntu
6.06 - by downloading the v3 driver package from Melware and compiling
everything. Yet, after activating the necessary modules (divas and
divadidd) and interactively configuring the card
(/usr/lib/divas/Config), starting up the adapter fails!
The error "/usr/lib/divas/divactrl load -c 1 -Debug" produces complains
about the missing protocol image
A: can't open protocol image: (/usr/lib/divas/te_etsi.2q0)
I know from version 2.0 that you had to download these images from
either isdn4linux.org or melware.de, yet none of them still have the
files available. /usr/...

identifying Eicon Diva Server V-4BRI-8M vs 4BRI-8M
Hi (Armin)!
Does someone knows how to identify the type of the card? The delivery
note says it is a V-4BRI-8M, whereas lspci reports a 4BRI-8M.
What is it really? Are there any Eicon tools to identify the card type?
thanks

Eicon Diva Server 4BRI
Hi Everybody,
Has anybody tried the above (or indeed any other 4XBRI cards) successfully
with Asterisk. As far as I can see the above mentioned card is an active
ISDN card but supported by it's own I4L driver. This leads to interesting
questions particularly regarding echo cancellations (which usually doesn't
work on the cheap passive cards with one exception as far as I can see).

chan_capi & Eicon Diva problem
Hello,
I have an issue getting the chan_capi module to load in asterisk cvs
from today. Plain 2.4.20 kernel with melware patches for the Eicon Diva
Server Bri card.
I load the modules with: modprobe -v divas divacapi
I load the firmware with: divactrl load -c 1 -f ETSI -vd6
Output in /var/log/messages is:

some EICON Diva 4BRI questions
...always happens via
the CAPI interfaces.
- For the Asterisk part I have the choice of chan_misdn or
chan_capi(-cm). After reading I come to the conclusion that
chan_capi(-cm) should work better.
- For the hardware part there are also 2 choices. Either use the Eicon
drivers included in 2.6 and divactrl or use the source packages from
eicon and the tools included. Here I'm not sure which method is better.
Further I do not know how this is related with isdn4linux or other linux
ISDN stuff. From: http://www.eicon.com/support/helpweb/slnxen/asterisk.asp

Mysql Confusion..
Ok I know this may have been covered and I did have a look back in the
archives but didn't find anthing so I am asking it now..
Many moons ago the MySQL CDR functions and MySQL Voicemail functions had
to be removed from the main asterisk code because of licensing issues..
Now there is new MySQL stuff like MySQL FRIENDS for SIP and IAX
definitions..
So how is it that these options

bad clicking sounds with Diva+capi+asterisk
...clicking
sometimes sounds like crosstalk between both lines.
After talking on irc with chan_capi's developper (kapejod) it seems the
problem might originate from the Diva card. We are using a vanilla 2.6.7
kernel on debian unstable. We recently updated to use the very latest
Diva firwmare and divactrl-2.1 without any effect on the problem. I
suspect the problem might be related to the Diva 4BRI drivers in kernel
2.6.x as the problem seems to have started when switching from 2.4.x.
Has someone had a similar experience? Is there any solution?
Thanks in advance for your insight,

2 x Eicon BRI ISDN devices (UK)
Hi
I have installed 2 x Eicon BRI ISDN cards into a Suse 9.2 server. We can
use all 4 lines for out going calls fine, but on incoming we can only use 2.
On calling in using the main msn, the 3rd line gives a an engaged signal.
I have unplugged 1 of the cards, and the other card takes the 2 calls. I
then swapped this around, and this also works fine. But when using both
cards, we can only use

I am using an eicon diva server bri
