Hi Everybody, Has anybody tried the above (or indeed any other 4XBRI cards) successfully with Asterisk. As far as I can see the above mentioned card is an active ISDN card but supported by it's own I4L driver. This leads to interesting questions particularly regarding echo cancellations (which usually doesn't work on the cheap passive cards with one exception as far as I can see). Hi Lars, the Eicon Diva Server 4BRI works with the GPL capi drivers from mmm.melware.de and chan_capi, echo cancelation is supported and works like a charm. stay away from i4l ;-) regards kapejod -- Klaus-Peter Junghanns CEO,CTO Junghanns.NET GmbH Breite Strasse 13 - 12167 Berlin - Germany fon: +49 30 79705392 fax: +49 30 79705391 iaxtel: 1-700-157-8753 email: kpj@junghanns.net http://www.junghanns.net/asterisk Am Son, 2003-11-09 um 02.54 schrieb Lars Boegild Thomsen:> Hi Everybody, > > Has anybody tried the above (or indeed any other 4XBRI cards) successfully > with Asterisk. Has anyone heard of success using the EICON DIVA Server 4 BRI with chan_capi as a PSTN interface with ISDN/BRI and * ? Any issues? This looks like it should work in theory, Linux drivers, CAPI 2.0 support. Any feedback appreciated. Damon

What is important (if you want to use kernel 2.6) is that you need to use at least kernel 2.6.9 because a lot of CAPI/Eicon fixes where added. Divactrl is needed to load the firmware on the card: http://isdn4linux.org/~armin/divas/divactrl_2.1.tar.gz The firmware for the card can be found here: ftp://ftp.isdn4linux.org/pub/isdn4linux/utils/eicon/firmware/ Regards, Patrick

All of my experimentation and use up to now has been redhat 9. What 2.6 distro are you using? fedora core 2? Have there been things that DO NOT work with kernel 2.6 in your experience?

I will wait for others to try Fedora Core 3 :) Damon
