Polycom Dialplan Digitmaps
...to dial out certain numbers. So, I downloaded the newest firmware and config templates from Polycom, and attempted to migrate the settings. Seems I'm missing something from the old configs though, and I need some help figuring out why these expressions lock up the new phone. Polycom Digitmap
I'm working on replacing a SoundPoint 600 with a 650. I need to merge these two sets of digitmaps in the polycom sip.cfg file, because the 650 locks up when I try to use the digitmap from the 600. I've included the default digitmap from a 3.1.3 RevB polycom release. I'd like to merge these two digitmaps, but I don't want to reintroduce the lockup issue I was having with the 600...

strange dial problem with polycom 501
...ber the cursor might jump back one digit. So the call above, if just typed into the phone, might end up: 9507291234. Other times the cursor might jump right back to the beginning of the number. This doesn't happen when they enter the number and the press "dial", so it seems to be a digitmap problem. However, the digitmap is nearly the same as what I've used on IP-500s in the past. It is: "[0]|*8|*2xx|#5|#7x|[278]xx|[9]11|9411|9x.T" [Actually it was " [0]|*8|*2xx|#5|#7x|[278]xx|[9]11|9411|9x.T" -- I don't know where that space came from, but I'll take...

Polycom digitmap question
via google, I found the reference regarding digit maps for the Polycom phones: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2005-January/082884.html But I don't see any instruction for prepending digits to the number dialed. Does anyone know how to prepend a digit to the number dialed (from the Polycom side, not Asterisk)? I can do this pretty easily on a Sipura. i.e. Say I want to

Polycom IP 500 Dial Issues
Hello, I have a mixture of Polycom SP IP 500 and 300 phones. I have been reading through the administration manual to try and solve this problem, but I do not seem to be able to find the answers to my question. I figured I would ask here and see if anyone has some suggestions. The problem is kind of annoying. After dialing 4 digits, the phone seems to pause and miss the 5th digit, often

blind transfers with IP Polycom 501
I'm running Asterisk 1.2.8 with Polycom ip501's xten softphones The only problem I'm experiencing is the following: I can't seem to get blind transfers to work with my Polycom 501 phones Either through the feature code or the soft keys. Re: transfers/parked calls + polycom 501
This is a dialpaln issue. I solved the same problem recently. For 4 digit extensions you need to append the dialplan statement in the sip.cfg configuration file as follows <digitmap dialplan.digitmap="[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2 -9]xxxT|1xxxT" dialplan.digitmap.timeOut="3"/> Michael > I am not sure what I did but blind transfers do not work. loading zaptel drivers automatically upon reboot
Just installed Asterisk 1.2 on a brand new clean machine running RedHat 9.0. I have a TDM400 card inside. When I boot, the card seems dead. When I do: modprobe wctdm modprobe Zaptel the lights come on and all seems fine, until I reboot that is... After a reboot I have to repeat the modprobe. I shouldn't have to do a modprobe every re-boot should I? How do you get the drivers to load

Re: Problem with blind transfer and Polycom phones !! more info
...The problem occurs only when we try dial numbers with 10 or 11 at the > beginning. This is the Digit Map on the Polycom phone. By default it uses 10 and 11 as special cases (I don't know why). You can adjust the digit map in sip.cfg. Just take a look at the line that looks like this: <digitmap dialplan.digitmap="[2-9]11|0T|011xxx.T|[0-1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2 -9]xxxT" dialplan.digitmap.timeOut="3"/> You can add in more patterns separated by '|' characters for any cases you want to cover. - Noah

Polycom IP 500 Voicemail
Hello All, I have some Polycom IP 500 phones that I would like to have configured for direct dialing to our voice mail system. I have followed all the Admin Guide instructions regarding the phones .cfg files and using
