Seeking compiled OS X "contrib" packages
...uilt" line in the doc file. Not a single error. Unfortunately, R still does not recognize it as a legitimate library/package, and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I know I'm not a programmer (for one thing, they get paid better than I do), and I know that I will be roundly derided as a wimp for writing this, but I give up. Has anyone out there accomplished this feat (or imported the contrib packages via the XWindows version), and if so, would you be willing to end my suffering? I have seen some posted online, but as luck would have it they don't overlap much with the o...

A long digression on packages
Hello again, First, thanks for the help that got the latest plotrix package finished. I had been planning to write something about packages since Scott Waichler offered the gantt.chart function. Then Ben Bolker (who helped me to write the axis.break function) asked if I would be willing to include some of his plotting functions and almost immediately after that Sander Oom kindly donated the

Node and Class unique naming
All I am doing some testing and have a quick question. Do class and node names have to be unique? I define a node: node test { include test } and a class called test. When I run the test node and connect I don''t get an error but no configuration is applied to the node. Is this normal behaviour or a bug? If it''s normal behaviour should Puppet tell you about the

Surely you're not suggesting that the code a developer writes is dependent on the form factor of the computer on which they write it? I'm sure that idea

xferlog not rotating.
I am not sure how to correctly troubleshoot this. I just noticed that my /var/log/xferlog file is huge. There are no files in /etc/logrotate.d/ for xferlog. This is what leads me to believe that it isnot rotating. Or perhaps I do not have it set to rotate. I am not sure. I am running CentOS release 5 (Final). Can someone tell me what I, apparently, do not have configured correctly. Thank

[LLVMdev] Postponing more passes in LTO
In the future could you please do some sort of visualization of your data, or at least provide the raw data in a machine-readable format so that others can do so? It is incredibly easy to come to incorrect conclusions when looking at lists of numbers because at any given moment you have a very localized view of the dataset and are prone to locally pattern-match and form a selection bias that
