Such a standardized layout makes it possible for people to simply copy a directory on a stick to have it added to the framework. Chainloading GRUB Legacy
...;chain.c32 hd1 swap' GRUB simply fails to go into Stage 1.5. Is it absolutely required to use the grldr= option in this case to fix this ? PS .localboot 0x81 or .localboot -1 does not work either. PS2 Tested using syslinux 4.03. -- -- dag wieers, dag at wieers.com, http://dag.wieers.com/ -- dagit linux solutions, info at dagit.net, http://dagit.net/ [Any errors in spelling, tact or fact are transmission errors]

Multi serial support
...and considered for syslinyx 4. So does multi serial support now work in syslinux 4 today ? If not, what does syslinux do if more than one serial directive is used in the configuration ? Use the last one listed ? [OT] building src rpm on RHEL5 using mock https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=680144
Does anyone have experience using mock on RHEL5 with the RHN? I use mock easily on Centos, I get errors like /bin/sh not found, useradd not found build failed? messages from it on RHEL w/ RHN. Any suggestions on where to start looking. -Jason Pyeron -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - - - Jason

[bug] 6.00: No linux boot function
...prised (yet pleased) to hear about the 5.10 and 6.00 release. Announcing doesn't guarantee anything (as people might have no time to test it within the given timeframe) but it allows some to test the pre-releases one more time. -- -- dag wieers, dag at wieers.com, http://dag.wieers.com/ -- dagit linux solutions, contact at dagit.net, http://dagit.net/ [Any errors in spelling, tact or fact are transmission errors]

Requesting the removal of md5pass
...y reference to md5pass is in the syslinux documentation somewhere. PS2 For sha1pass there doesn't seem to be an equivalent in openssl, but it seems very useful to have that added to openssl as well (-4 ?). Syslinux 5.00-pre6: call it a beta
I think the Syslinux 5.00 branch is now at the point where I believe it it is feature complete and should be able to replace the main Syslinux branch. As such, it is important that we get wider testing, and especially that people let us know if and where it breaks. As of right now, there aren't any known bugs...

Hello everyone: * DNS does not have a "refresh rate". In DNS, the person running the domain determines what the "refresh rate" (it's called TTL in DNS) for their records is; for example, Google has a TTL of "once per hour" and my domains (maradns.org, etc.) have a TTL of one day. * As mentioned before, Scientific Linux 6.0 is out.
