I think the Syslinux 5.00 branch is now at the point where I believe it it is feature complete and should be able to replace the main Syslinux branch. As such, it is important that we get wider testing, and especially that people let us know if and where it breaks. As of right now, there aren't any known bugs... http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/Testing/5.00/syslinux-5.00-pre6.tar.xz -hpa -- H. Peter Anvin, Intel Open Source Technology Center I work for Intel. I don't speak on their behalf.

Compiling (with the options of 4.05) worked well. Installing worked. Booting with the CD (isolinux): ISOLINUX 5.00 ... Undef symbol FAIL: vesacom_set_background boot: The vesa menu is not shown, but <tab> shows the options, and then booting goes on. Who or what produces the error message? Which files should I show or change? Viele Gruesse! Helmut

If HDT is in late, maybe some other components too. What's the plan to get work done in master available in 5.x ? Cheers,
