Incoming Calls Getting Crossed - Weird
...illa 1.2.4 and
have all incoming calls come in as SIP from teliax. Twice over the past
week 2 callers who have called in around the same time end up talking to
each other instead of going through the ivr or at some point during the
IVR. One said, yeah i was talking to another patient and we had a
convo. I have double checked the dialplan and the logs and everything
looks ok. Is this a possible bug or can someone tell me what i might be
missing? Its very odd but luckily fairly rare so far, i am worried it
could get worse though.

OT (kinda): Justification for adding Asteriskto the business plan
...T Company..
>
Just to clarify, we make up the IT company and we'd be selling it to our
customers that may or may not be IT based. The company does run VoIP but
does not use Asterisk (using VoIP to add additional local lines in different
area codes).
What I'm trying to accomplish is a convo/thread of why IT consultancies
should take on Asterisk in their normal support (or a value-add service).
When I look at VoIP, I see nothing different between setting up and
configuring perl scripts for AGI/* Manager interfaces (system admin
scripting) to plugging the BRI into a Digium card from the...

Digium vs. Sangoma
I don't mean to be a troll in any way shape or form. I was on IRC last night and I observed the following convo. below. What do you guys make of it ?
[02:14] <bkw__> Let me tell you how chidlish digium and Mark Spencer is. I walk into a restaurant with them all here at Astricon wearing my sangoma shirt and he asked me to leave.

What is your workflow? Or how to use the story runner the right way.
I really would like to know how people are using the Story and Example
runner to write their software. It would be great to get some direction on
it, because I think I''m missing some points.
Taking the outside-in approach in thought:
At first we write a high-level customer-facing story, this story fails.
Then we start using mocks at object level to use them as a design tool,
and so we

RAIDZn+1 (related to the h/w raid ponderings)
Dropping in on this convo a little late, but here''s something that
has been nagging me - gaining the ability to mirror two (or more)
RAIDZ sets.
A little background on why I''d really like to see this....
I have two data centers on my campus and my FC-based SAN stretches
between them. When I buy RAI...

3.2.5 client connectivity issues...
...provide some storage using glusterfs
and I don't have the luxury of letting the clients "figure out" their
connectivity issues.
It's not a marketable feature if the client(s) can't connect.
IT REALLY SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT to get a client connected.
And some frequent convos on #gluster indicate that I am not the only
person having difficulty with this task.
Are bounties allowed to be posted via this list? Because I am seriously
about fed up trying to MAKE this work.
Thank you all for your time.

Fix list so it adds Reply-To: header
Could whomever is in charge of the lartc mailing list please change it
to add the header:
Reply-To: lartc@mailman.ds9a.nl
Every other list I''m on is setup so that by default replies will go to
the list. When replying to lartc emails I notice myself and others
constantly forgetting this list does not behave like the rest, and
that we have to either do a reply-to-all, or manually enter in

Code security
I''ve just created a rails application for a friend''s business.
I''m going to place the application onto one of his computers so he can
access it from within his network.
What can i do to make sure he cannot read/edit the code? I can''t see
what i can do. Its on a windows xp machine and he has full admin rights.
He''s not an expert PC user so the solution

it "should [action] ..." vs it with an active voice
I''d like to start gathering information/debating on the
advantages/disadvantages of using it "should ..." vs other techniques.
Dan North explained why we should use should:
http://dannorth.net/introducing-bdd/
I used to use it "should ..." for the projects I was on, until I was
challenged by a fellow developer who started using it with an active
voice.
For example

shutdown -r / shutdown -h / reboot all hang and don't cleanly dismount
Hello -STABLE@,
So I've seen this situation seemingly randomly on a number of both
physical 9.1 boxes as well as VMs for I would say 6-9 months at least.
I finally have a physical box here that reproduces it consistently
that I can reboot easily (ie; not a production/client server).
No matter what I do:
reboot
shutdown -p
shutdown -r
This specific server will stop at "All buffers
