TE405P E1 coax cables with balun
Hi, I am new with asterisk. I am setting a Wildcard TE405P. E1s in Italy come in on a pair of RG-59 coax cables with BNC connectors. So I need an adapter/balun http://www.allcomtlc.com/al_g703n3.htm . I have It but I am not sure that It works. I have configured my asterisk in this way: zaptel.conf span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 dchan=16 bchan=1-15,17-31 loadzone=it defaultzone=it zapata.conf switchtype...

3com 3c509
I have used 3Com 3c509 nic width bnc coax. I have experienced that these cards used width FreeBSD and Samba is unusable due to speed. I tried to change the 3com card with a NE2000 compatible card, and there was a major change in speed. Has anyone else experienced such problem. Asgeir Stangeland

TE405P and E1
Hello Im from Denmark and i've just got my Digium TE405P. But i have some problems when i connect it to my E1 connection (ISDN30). My telco delivered a alcatel box witch have a G.703 120ohm (DB9 with a serial to rj45) and a 75ohm coax connection. I've tried to connect using the 120ohm with rj45 and a ordinary utp cable. But it dosent seem to work. I've tried several zaptel.conf setting, but none of them made the led stop blinking. <my current zaptel.conf> span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4 bchan=1-15 dchan=16 bchan=17-31 lo...

sangoma 102 and CAB-E1-RJ45BNC
Hi, sorry for the newbie hardware questions but here it goes scenario - our telco is feeding us e1 thru coax connection (unbalanced) - so the coax feed rx-tx goes to our old pabx using ericsson bp250 - what we wanted to do is to install asterisk in between hence telco<-->asterisk<-->bp250 using asterisk to power up the voip portion the problem is the we are getting crackling sound when we mak...

Tomcat authentication via PAM (or other system methods)?
Is there a way to coax java services running under tomcat to use the system authentication methods set up through PAM? In my case, this would be users in the local passwd file or through smb to a windows domain. I've added mod_auth_pam to get this effect with apache but would like to also handle java web services...

dot plot with several points for 2 categories
...very limited capabilities of Excel and Oo. Currently, I am trying to make a plot showing several values for 2 categories in a dot blot (see http://www.nabble.com/file/p24538360/Picture%2B1.png Picture+1.png except that the x axis should contain the category not a number, which was the only way to coax Excel into displaying a plot like this). I started working through some tutorials but the example didn't quite fit what I was looking for. The closest was the car and mpg example but it 1 value per name whereas I need several value per category. Does anybody know this of the top of your expert...

how to get empty sequence for certain bounds
...say that I have two endpoints, a and b, which are integers. If a <= b, I would like to get a:b, but if a > b, then numeric(0), for example: myseq(3,5) => 3:5 myseq(3,3) => 3 myseq(3,2) => numeric(0) The operator : just gives decreasing sequences in the latter case, and I could not coax seq into doing this either (of course the documentation is correct, it never claims that I could). Should I just write my own function, or is there a standard R way to do this? Thanks, Tamas

Removal of elements from nomograms
...the "linear predictor" line in the graph, which means (I suspect) removing it from the nomogram output object. I've looked at the nomogram output object, but it is not clear to me if or how it might be edited to remove the linear predictor content. Similarly , I do not see how to coax nomogram() into not producing this output in the first place. As ever, thanks in advance are likely due to Frank Harrell, without whom many things would be much more difficult.

Legacy samba 3.x connecting to server 2022
...all the samba 3.x machines cannot talk to the DCs or rejoin the domain. net ads join -d 10 showed port 445 was not responding so I enabled SMB1 but I'm guessing there are some ciphers at least that are not compatible. Some of these are RH5 machines and cannot be upgraded so is there anyway to coax server 2022 to let them in? Thanks! Greg -- Greg Dickie just a guy 514-983-5400

Tracktion
This is being offered gratis till the end of december by Mackie. This one might just be coaxed into running under Wine which would be quite an achievement. Kudos: 1. The program, though free, needs be registered to a "machine number". Did this under Windows, did not get that far using Wine. Might need a second copy just for the Linux runs. 2. The program searches for all its...

reading a "sparse" matrix into R
...adjacency list of connections between nodes for each row, e.g. node connections A B C D E B A C D C A E D A E A F F E G H I'd like to import this into a dataframe of node/connection (character/vector-of-characters) pairs. I've experimented with scan, but haven't been able to coax it to work. I can also "hack" it with strsplit() myself, but I thought there might be a more elegant way. Thanks, -Aaron

[LLVMdev] Aborting a pass
Hi, What's the proper way to abort a pass if something goes wrong (e.g., in the pass's constructor)? Do I simply call abort()? I looked through the existing passes but didn't see an example of this. Thanks, Trevor

[LLVMdev] Aborting a pass
...rs, but overkill for most other types of error situations, such as a command-line parameter that the user forgot to add. For these situations, I'm printing an informative error message to errs() and then calling exit(-1). I'm not sure if that's the best approach, but it seems to coax the expected behavior out of LLVM. vectors on top of contours, and lattice
...e* vector plot. This won't work because each set of contoured data has its own particular set of associated vector data. (BTW, I am not doing gradients here. The vector data is its own entity, not derivable from the contoured data.) Can I somehow define a whole series of panel functions and coax contourplot() to choose the right one for each of its plots? Or do I have to revise my entire approach here? Thanks! --Sam [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

R-Squared with biglm?
I've been working with a rather large data set (~10M rows), and while biglm works beautifully for generating coefficients, it does not report an r-squared. It does report RSS. Any idea on how one could coax an R-squared out of biglm? Thanks in advance for any help with this! LISST-ST/ Hardware in Wine
Hello, I am attempting to use wine to run the software for a scientific instrument called LISST-ST. I am able to run the software under Ubuntu 8.04 using wine just fine but I am can't seem to get wine to recognize the hardware that is connected via USB. Is there any way to configure hardware using wine? That is, does wine use a specific port or can I tell wine to look for the hardware in a

Newbie question on VAD
...r to feeding the stream to the recognition engine. Speex has a preprocessor capability which presumably could be used for this, but I did not see similar in my quick perusal of Opus docs. First, is this is a dumb idea for some reason? If not, should I just use Speex preprocessor, or can Opus be coaxed to do this? I'm targeting mobile platforms, so ARM v7 in practice. I'm noob in codec domain, but not as a developer. Thanks, Harri
