polygons on scatterplot3d
Does anyone have any experience plotting complex polygons on a
scatterplot3d display? I would like to present some spatially binned
data in a 3-d type plot with background polygons (i.e.. a filled
coastline map). I can get the coastline onto the plot window as a
line type but cannot figure out how to fill the shape. I'm certain it
may be possible but might require a bit of digging into the
scatterplot3d code and rotational method.
Any and all help or suggestions appreciated.

ProxyJump does not accept IPv6 for the intermediate host?
Hello,
it seems I cannot use:
$ ssh -J root at 2a01:4f8:1c1e:528d::1 root at west-coast
Invalid -J argument
(The west-coast is stored on the jump host in between in /etc/hosts.)
$ ssh -J root at 167.235.141.44 root at west-coast
Works as expected. Also
$ ssh root at 2a01:4f8:1c1e:528d::1
does work as expected. I do have native IPv6.
This is on Debian 12 Bookworm:

Question about Icecast
Please help...
I subscribe to a streaming audio (internet radio) service called "Coast to Coast AM". Thier server will not allow it's stream to be downloaded and saved for later listening.
Will IceCast perform such a function? If so, how do I go about it?
Thanks for your help...

Regroup and create new dataframe
...t;
I did not achieve what I wanted.
**A potentially big question from readers:*
Why am I doing this?
*Answer:*
I want to run a multiple regression model later to see among different
regions, what the sales look like for these three brands of tape:
*Does Mid-west buy more house brand than East Coast?*
or
*Does region really affect the sales? Are Mid-West's purchases similar to
those of East Coast and West Coast?*
I need help. Please give me guidance.
Sincerely,
Hugh N

Anyone noticed Voipjet voice quality problems?
Dear all,
I've noticed some significant voice quality deterioration when calling US
landline via VoIPjet.com in the last week or so.
Before that the quality was pretty good.
Has anyone else experienced any voice quality problems with voipjet
recently?
Thanks,
Roman

Plotting from different data sources on the same plot (with ggplot2)
...ng for something specific to maps but
rather for a generic mechanism to throw several pieces of data to a
graph and have the plotting routine take care of setting up axes that
will fit all data on the same scale.
So, now for the ggplot2 part. I have two data sources: the
coordinates of the coastlines in a region of interest and the
coordinated of sampling stations in a subset of this region. I want
to plot the coastline as a line and the stations as points, on the
same graph. I can plot them independently easily:
p1 = ggplot(coast,aes(x=lon,y=lat)) + geom_path() + coord_equal(ratio=...

Apologies in advance for the noise.
I am interested in setting up my OWN mirrorlist like http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=7&arch=x86_64&repo=os&infra=stock where it pulls a few local mirrors, but mine would be statically set with 3 or 4 different location URL's
Basically my plan here is, if the closest mirror I operate cannot be reached, it will try another
