[Asterisk-Users] Anyone noticed Voipjet voice quality problems?
Dear all, I've noticed some significant voice quality deterioration when calling US landline via VoIPjet.com in the last week or so. Before that the quality was pretty good. Has anyone else experienced any voice quality problems with voipjet recently? Thanks, Roman

Any other confirmation for this problem? My service seems to be fine but I have not completed a long duration call yet. I had a user complain last week about call degradation after 5-10 minutes but that has been it. I will test some more and let you know. I am on the west coast server. Just verified that we are experiencing the same problems. Voice breaks up when making calls to US destination (I am in PHX, AZ) via the west coast server. So far I have not heard back from VoipJet either. Seems things have just got worse. Just got reports that 800 numbers are not terminating. For example, can not dial: 800-888-9358 or 800-922-4684 Had to pull voipjet out of our routes until this gets fixed. We are a VoIP provider and need to push out 100,000 - 200,000 minutes per month (ie. need a carrier-level package - not a Vonage, etc.). To date I have not found a wholesale SIP/IAX VoIP provider provide 800 termination for free. However, if you have one, please provide the information and I will definately check them out. Just did the same and it seems (cross fingers) to be fine now too. However, I have to wonder. What happens to the load on that East Coast box when we all switch over to it. Sure would be nice to hear from VoipJet. Considering hwo many times I have recommended them, it would make me feel better. LOL I see. Hmmm... So one could postulate the theory that it is OUR fault those providers go out of business! Maybe something like this... Provider is doing well and giving good service. Word of mouth increases userbase and service load fo provider. Provider wants the money obviously and takes on load in spite of limited resources. Provider becomes overloaded and is not longer able to provide quality service. Users abandon ship and provider goes under with a fiery belch and the band plays on. Soooo, I should only recommend the bad providers so they will go away and keep the good providers secret so I can continue to get quality service! At last, the mystery is solved!! 8) Or maybe a couple of us should just get together and start our own company. One that explicitly places quality above quantity. Anyone remember when businesses operated this way?! Finally got a response from voipjet support and they say they have switched to a new provider for US termination. I have yet to test this out as I have not had a chance to build them back into our routes but will report my findings once I do. Anyone else notice any improvements?
