Verification on HOW adding a machines works
I'm straddling the half-way point between samba and ldap. When adding a
machine to the domain, functionally, it works like you would expect. You
enter in the domain, enter your credentials, and reboot. The computer is
able to function as a machine on the domain.
I'm using the smbldap-tools as suggested in the wiki. Here's the script:
add machine script = /usr/sbin/smbldap-useradd

dotnet20 on ubuntu 8.10
Howdy Howdy,
I am trying to run Razor and RunUO on my Intrepid Ibex box, but am struggling. I am using 64 bit and wine 1.1.13.
Specifically, I cannot get dotnet11 or dotnet20 to work (via winetricks).
Any hints? I've tried various walk-throughs and read posts by the dozens, all without success.
This is what it states:

...r a spin. The main screeen, where you select to play the
game, change the configuration, etc, comes up fine. There's a slight pause
after clicking 'Play' while BGMain.exe starts and X is set yo 640x480 (I'm
guessing this has something to do with DETACH_PROCESS?), but that's no
biggy.
The opening credits and movie play just fine. I'm able to create the main
character without any noticeable problems. The first 'problem' I ran into
was at the opening of the 'Prologue' chapter. Under windows, a narrator's
voice reads the opening text as it scrolls acros...

Automatically dial a number, then an extension
All;
I have an application that dials a list of numbers and then plays a
recorded message. My customer uses it to dial a list of customers to confirm
their appointment for the next day. No biggie, maybe 25 - 30 calls per day
for customers who want the confirmation call. What they need now is a way to
dial an extension after the number is dialed and answered. I've seen that
before, but I

Virtualisation
I'm building a new server at home to handle most of my internal
requirements (mail, news, dns, dhcp, backups being the biggies). I also
want it to host a couple of virtual servers which are allowed incoming
connections from the internet (mail gateway, web server, ssh server);
these are virtual so if a hacker _can_ break in then they're limited as
to what they can see.

NT_STATUS_INTERNAL_ERROR from RPC server on samba 4.5.8 AD DC
...get it, so I downloaded it ;-)
Is the member server using DHCP ?
Is '10.0.2.15' the ipaddress of the DC ?
You haven't got 'security = ADS' in your smb.conf.
You have 'unix password sync = yes' in smb.conf,
Do you have Unix users that are also in AD ?
And finally the biggy, are you using sssd ?

MixMonitor and Queues
Greetings, all.
I would like to record calls that are entered into queues and I'm not
quite sure how to do it. Here's how I'm currently set up:
- Call comes in and is placed into Queue #1 (which rings all phones for
15 sec).
- If call drops out of this queue, it is placed into Queue #2 (which
plays MoH until the call is picked up).
I've tinkered with MixMonitor and I have my

Who's wrong, atmail or dovecot?
We recently switched to atmail, as well as dovecot. I noticed in atmail
the size of the mailboxes was always reported as 0kb.
So, I did some debugging, and it boiled down to the fact that the regular
expression used by dovecot expected UID before SIZE, but Dovecot returned
SIZE before UID. No biggy, I changed the regex, but I was curious if there
was a standard.
Here's the imap query that is sent:
UID FETCH 1:* (RFC822.SIZE)
Here's the diff I implemented to make it work:
http://www.xecu.net/atmail/dovecot_sizes.diff
So...is this something that is standard or something atmail need...

wxruby2 swig retooling "complete"
I just re-integrated fixdeleting.rb, the last of the post-processors.
Running minimal.rb no longer segfaults on exit. Running dialogs.rb and
immediately exiting doesn''t segfault, but bringing up a dialog and then
exiting does.
So there are still memory problems, but fewer than yesterday :-/ I''m not
sure how it compares to last week.
I probably won''t have much time

It wouldn't help.

Then it is never going to work, you have not set up winbind at all.

R binaries for Fedora 17.
I am currently (still) running Fedora 17 --- having not managed to screw
my courage to the sticking place and upgrade.
Even though we are now up to Fedora 20, I think. The traffic on the
Fedora mailing list on the upgrading issue is a bit terrifying.
I would just like to confirm that:
It is ***NOT*** possible to download a binary of R for Fedora 17.
Is this correct?
