At least one of the R-help listserver comments mentioned using

figure out how to make this work with the resources (intellectual and

A concrete type I/III Sum of square problem
Hi R-help members,
I have read a lot in the Archive about the "Type I" vs "Type III" sum
of square. I think I have read confusing post so
I want to have a clear idea of the problem.
Here is an example.
I have 3 groups of subjects of unequal sample size (G1 (n=7), G2
(n=7), G3 (n=4)).
for Each subject I have 4 measures corresponding to the crossing of
2 factor (A & B)

Hey all!
We''ve been using Ferret to great success these past six months. But
recently we''ved tried adding many new ContentItems (only thing being

Licence for datasets in a R-package
...mote (web) databases and locally stored rda files
(datasets): these "local rda files" are derived from publicly available
databases for which no "official" licenses are provided; I was told by the
creators of these databases that users can use such data provided that the
correct bibliographic reference is always used (the package is already
reminding the users about the correct citation(s) to use). I thought a
CC-by licence would suit this need, thus I am posting here to ask if:
1) It is possible to distribute these datasets as rda files within my
package (which will be released...

Hosting a R Graph Gallery?
Dear R users,
Following some of the recent questions and discussions about the R
plotting abilities, it occurred to me again that it would be very
valuable to have an R graph gallery.
Eric Lecoutre made a very nice example in:
http://www.stat.ucl.ac.be/ISpersonnel/lecoutre/stats/fichiers/_gallery.pdf
It would be very useful to many beginners, but probably also advanced
users of R, to have an

However, in order to be able to use the features I had in Muse, I write
using 'extended' syntax and use Pandoc to convert my study notes to
*.odt (and to *.doc to my mentor), while I plan to convert markdown to
ConTeXt for my own publishing needs.
Pandoc will get bibliographic citations support and it already has
support for stuff like footnotes, tables, and definition lists.
That's why I'm interested to know what is the plan in regard to
standardizing some of those 'extra' features which put markdown markup
in the category of (more) serious authoring...
