Duplicate packets when using aggregate datalinks on bge
...n aggregate is introduced
into the network configuration. We''ve ruled out switch ports and
physical bge interfaces as problematic. It only manifests when an
aggregation datalink exists in the configuration, regardless of whether
it aggregates multiple physical interfaces (e.g. bge0 and bge1) or a
single physical interface (e.g. bge0).
The duplicates are only generated by the OpenSolaris host. There are no
inbound duplicates. The duplicates always come from the same physical
interface. Tested with ICMP (ping) and TCP (http) connections.
We have numerous servers in production on e...

bge drivers does not work for 3COM 3C996-SX / 3C996B-T
I'm experiencing similar problems with a 3C996-T under 4.8-REL.
In particular, connecting a 4.8-REL machine to a 5.1-REL machine leads
to some interesting situations: I can do simple pings across the link,
but ssh fails, and heavy pings crash the 4.8 machine. Similarly
changing the interface configuration with ifconfig tends to crash the
4.8 machine (mtu, link0, up/down, etc). The

IP Instances with VLAN''s
Hi,
how can ip instances be used with vlans ? Is that possible ?
I don''t know how to configure this, if I only have one interface (e.g. bge0), and want to
assign e.g. bge1000 to a zone. Any cookbooks available ?
Thanks

broadcast packets from domU duplicated?
I''m running a nevada b99 guest on a nevada b99 host. The guest is
configured as a dhcp client.
When I snoop in dom0 while the guest boots, I see two back-to-back
DHCPREQUEST packets issued by the guest. The first of the two packets
has an empty UDP checksum; otherwise they seem identical.
Is this a bug?

[FreeBSD] Fix for ServerWorks HT1000 in upcoming 7.1?
Hi,
I have a server (Dell PowerEdge SC1435, ServerWorks HT1000) on which
I'd like to try installing FreeBSD. I've already failed to make 7.0
work on this box and was wondering if you have information about the
behavior of the upcoming 7.1 on this hardware.
I've been following the "HT1000 chipset errata saga" thread, and the
commits by sos@ to CVS (around Jan 2008), but have
