Atmosphere Deluxe
Hi, I'm trying to get Atmosphere Deluxe working
(http://www.relaxingsoftware.com/atmdeluxehome.htm) on Wine. I got the
program to install, but I run into trouble when I'm running it. It says
that I need at least DirectX 8 installed, so I installed DirectX 9c,
though I'm not sure if that actually worked. Is there a way to check to
see if I have it installed?
I'm using Wine 0.9.21.

How to calculate the derivatives at each data point?
Hi everyone,
I have a vector with atmospheric measurements (x-axis) that is
obtained/calculated at different altitudes (y-axis). The altitude is
uniformly distributed every 7 meters.
For example my dataframe is:
df <- dataframe(
*altitude* = c(1005, 1012, 1019, 1026, 1033, 1040, 1047, 1054, 1061, 1068),
*atm_values* = c(1.41, 1.40, 1.39, 1....

Can anyone offer any pointers at all?

wanting to produce 4 plots per object, which I normally acheive on an X

Any suggestions?

Passing colnames to graphics title
Hi,
Just a quick query - if I'm creating a function to produce a number of
histograms per page of output (one per column from a matrix), how can I
pass the column name of the matrix into the title (or indeed to form part
of the x-axis label)?
TIA,
Laura

Cannot send after transport endpoint shutdown (-108)
This morning I''ve had both my infiniband and tcp lustre clients hiccup. They are evicted from the server presumably as a result of their high load and consequent timeouts. My question is- why don''t the clients re-connect. The infiniband and tcp clients both give the following message when I type "df" - Cannot send after transport endpoint shutdown (-108). I''ve
