I have this problem that renders all selectable or typed text completely unreadable. I've had it with multiple programs, but the biggest problem is that it renders Dev-C++ completely unusable. The text kind of looks like they're music notes or something...

Hello. I have a tiny problem. I am running Character Maker (a japanese painting program aimed mainly for RPG Maker and the like). Now on Windows, it used the default system font, but when I run it under Wine it uses an ugly handwriting font. Is there a way to fix this problem? ...CD occured. By searching the web, it appeared that it was a cd protection issue, so I found no-cd patches and applied them. Each of the game complain in a different manner that fonts are missing (directly for the two latter, by "facing an unknown error" for the former). I installed the allfonts and fontfix packages with winetricks, tried to jump to the unstable version, no change. All those games are rated between Gold and Platinium in WineHQ, so I guess there must be a solution. Do you have any hint?
