A400P + Intel D201GLY2(A) motherboard?
Hello I'd like to build myself an Asterisk server for SOHO use. Intel's D201GLY2 motherboard (http://tinyurl.com/ddarzp) looks like a very good deal, but I'm concerned about two things: 1. Will an A400P (from OpenVox, but supposed to be Digium-compatible http://tinyurl.com/ck6nfu) fit with a PCI riser, or will the CPU heatsink/fan be in the way? I downloaded the PDF from OpenVox's site, but didn't find the size of each PCI card 2. Performance, especially if there's the need for sof...

About Sangoma cards and Asterisk integration with other PBX
...SSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all! I had the opportunity to test a Sangoma A200 card and I have some doubts that I would like to consult: I tried to detect the card and I had no success using the wctdm module with DAHDI. I guess this is because electronics is different because the TDM400P and OpenVox A400P cards have separate modules for each channel, while the Sangoma A200 each module operates two channels. I had to compile Wanpipe for the card was detected. Is it the only way? Another thing I want to try is to connect Asterisk with Siemens PBX so that the extensions on Asterisk can communicate wit...

Asterisk - 1.8.4.1 Dahdi-linux - 2.4.1.2 Dahdi-tools - 2.4.1 Kernel: 2.6.37.6 Kernel BKL: enabled I am upgrading Asterisk on this box. It has an OpenVox A400P PCI analog card with 1 FXO and 1FXS module. This server has been running just fine for two years with Asterisk 1.6.1.0 I've just upgraded all the OS and installed Asterisk 1.8.4.1. On trying to configure the A400P I get: # modprobe dahdi # modprobe wctdm # dahdi_genconf Empty configurati...

OpenVox A400P01 not detected
Hello Has someone used the OpenVox A400P01 (ie. a supposedly Digium-compatible A400P board with a single FXO module www.openvox.com.cn/products_detail.php?genre_id=9&id=28) successfully? I've put it in an older PC with a Gigabyte GA-7ZX motherboard, then a more recent PC with an Asrock K8NF4G-SATA2: dmesg returns nothing :-/ Is...

Problems with setting up Zaptel
Hi all, I've just got an OpenVox A400P card with 1 FXO and 1 FXS module and I am just trying to get it working. But no luck as of yet. In /etc/zaptel.conf I've set the following options: fxsks=2 fxoks=1 loadzone=se defaultzone=se And in /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf I've not sure what to set exactly. For example, under [trunkgroups]...

Starting and installing Dahdi (2.2.0)?
Hello Unless I overlooked it, the "Asterisk Reference Information Version 1.6.1.6" at www.asterisk.org/docs doesn't include instruction on how to start Dahdi when used to drive a TDP PCI card (OpenVox A400P with a single FXO module www.openvox.cn/products/show.php?itemid=20&lang=2). I'd like to know... 1. How to start Dahdi manually. Is this the right way? modprobe wctfxo modprobe wctdm modprobe zaptel 2. How to add a startup script in CentOS through chkconfig If this is covered in an up-...

Asterisk sharing a line with POTS handsets: how to interoperate cleanly?
I now have an OpenVox A400P and it is working well. Thanks to Ade Vickers for the recommendation, which I second. However, I need to make a slow transition between a conventional multiple-extension setup and a full VoIP network on these premises. So at the moment the Asterisk box shares the PSTN connection with several conve...

UK CallerID -v- Wildcard W100P
At the risk of being flamed.... Has anyone had any success get the 'El cheapo' Wildcard W100P clone's (?20 flavour) to work with UK Caller ID? I'm not sure what the status of Asterisk 1.6 is with respect to UK caller ID, being that we have an odd method of sending the FSK ahead of the ring, but I'm guessing I can't be the first to ask this? Keeping in mind that cost is

Channels configuration with DAHDI
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all! Days ago I bought a OpenVox A400P card with a port FXS and another FXO that I am testing with my Asterisk installation in my house. I'm using Asterisk 1.4.24.1 with DAHDI Linux 2.1.0.4 and DAHDI Tools 2.1.0.2 on Debian GNU/Linux Lenny. I was reading "The future of telephony" and this [1] document looking for informat...

Wanted: UK-specific hardware recommendations (FXO and FXS)
I have a pair of Asterisk servers which are happily routeing VoIP calls. I want to hook one of them to the PSTN. Given that I am in the UK, what is a reasonably easily-available device to provide an FXO interface from a Linux box, with a minimum of faffing around with drivers? Just one line is needed, though in theory two might eventually be useful. My usual white-box hardware suppliers don't

A1200P comments?
Hi all, Does anyone have any good/bad comments on the A1200P 12-port fxo/fxs card from OpenVox? I'll be using one to with 8-12 fxo interfaces.? The cards will be plugging into a cable-modem / phone adapter.? We weren't able to port the numbers, so we're going to use the existing PSTN connection and replace all of the office phones. With these short distances, will I need to worry
