OpenSS7 T400P-SS7 and Digium T400P
Hi,
I've posted this question on OpenSS7 mailing list but I didn't get a
clear answer. I have a system running asterisk using Digium T400P card. Can
this same card be used with OpenSS7 project to carry SS7 links? Is there any
difference between these two cards?

Availability of T400P and E400P
Good day everyone,
A Solution now exists for those of you still looking for the first model of Quad T1/E1 Interface Cards - the T400P and E400P.
The T400P and E400P were manufactured by Digium until a few months ago, and were designed and released under the GNU Public License as the
Tormenta II by Zapata Telephony.
Varion, Inc. is now in full production manufacturing these boards. With the Tormenta back in production, those wit...

SS7 E1 cards
Hi,
I'm looking into support for SS7 and I found an article
(http://www.openss7.com/news13022002.html) which says that OpenSS7
supports Linux Support Inc's T400P-SS7 Quad T1 and E400P-SS7 Quad E1 PCI
interface cards. It also says that Linux Support Inc is the primary
sponsor of Asterisk. However I cannot find these cards on the Asterisk
hardware page (http://www.asterisk.org/index.php?menu=hardware).
Are these cards any different from the TE4xxP cards?...

Can T400P be configured for nfas (one d-channel providing signaling for more

Thank you.

Dual T400P, SMP, performance issues
Hi,
We are trying to validate Asterisk as a media gateway PRI <-> SIP with two
T400P (8 T1s) per box. The first
experience with BOX1 (Compaq, 2.53 GHz, 1 Gb RAM) and just one T400P was
encouraging - on the load
test with 3 T1s worth of calls we had on average 75% idle CPU.
Not so with BOX2 (Dell, single 2.6 GHz Xeon, 1 Gb RAM, 2 T400P) and BOX3
(Dell, dual 2.6 GHz Xeon,
2 Gb RAM,...

T100P & Phones Configuration
Below you will find, what I believe to be a typical setup with a T100P
card. My question is -
1. Is this correct?
2. What kind of phones would be needed here... (Would you have to use
Digital phones) And if so what would you recommend.

T400P & E400P second source
Since i'm sure there are others out there in the same position as me, being disappointed that the original T400P and E400P cards are no longer available from Digium, I thought I would pass on a place I found to get them. I needed the older card, since I didn't want to have to get a motherboard with 3.3v pci slots on it.

T400P 4 Port T1 Cards for Sale
Hello Everyone,
I have two never-used, still in the static-bag T400P Cards that I bought a long while back that I'd like to get rid of.
Before I ever got a chance to use them, I bought Sangoma A400 Cards instead, and now I definately don't need them any longer.
They have the Dallas DS21Q352 Chip on them (A4 Revision). I'll be happy to test them before...

Non-PRI T1 showing red
Could anyone with any experience with * over a non-PRI T1 help this newbie?
I have a fractional T1 that is working fine through a channel bank, but I
can't get any response on * using a T400P. My analog line and the extensions
work fine, but the T400P port 1 shows a red led (what exactly does that tell
me?). I brought up zttool which shows a condition red also, but ztcfg shows
nothing amiss. There is no change when I unplug the cable to the T1 or
re-insert it. When I load * it gives n...

...speeds on calls through * seem to be lower than calls
made through the telephone company lines or our old Rolm PBX. All data

For my set up I have channels of a Zhone channel bank tied to 2 modems.
The Zhone channel bank interfaces my * server with a T400P card.

Hi,
is there anyone who have experience with more as one card in one machine ?
Or, somebody from the Digium team who can make an assertion about this ?

T400P modprobe/ztcfg failure
Another nibbage question:
modprobe tor2 -v
install /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install tor2 && /sbin/ztcfg
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.5-1.358smp/misc/tor2.ko
ZT_SPANCONFIG failed on span 1: No such device or address (6)
FATAL: Error running install command for tor2
dmesg states that the module is registered however. Am I doing something
seriously wrong?

Dial-In/Out Modem Zap Channel Config. Adtran 750
I've been trying to get a Win 2000 RAS server working with my asterisk PBX for quite some time, to no avail. I've googled, I've tried loads of configurations, I've rewired phone lines, and still I am not winning the battle.
Here's my config.
PRI->T400P->Asterisk->T400P->Adtran 750(L36 Firmware)->RAS Server.
I have 4 Zap channels signalled FXO_KS to the 750 with FXS_LS channels, On-Hook messaging disabled, the rest defaults for the channels. In zapata.conf I've tried with both busydetect=>yes and busydetect=>no.... busycou...

What is an E400P-SS7??
Hi,
Is this card the same as the T410P, after all, it's made by Digium.
There's one prior reference on the mailint list[1] but it didn't answer
the question.
There was also an SS7 status report[2] last June but it's doesn't seem to
have lead anywhere either. There was post saying an SS7 release was
immenent last September[3], but then silence.
Any info anyone would like to

Pinging ...
Ok, if I missed something in the wiki please point me there with the
correct search terms.
Asterisk 1.0.7 (AAH really)
4 co lines from Bellsouth into a Diguim T400P.
Polycom 501 x 4 on the desktops.
My problem is on calls to or from the CO I hear a "pinging" (thing sonar
ping in a submarine) every 12 seconds. You can set your watch to it.
COuld this be a "call recording in progress" tone. I have not made any
effort to turn on call r...

Newbie hardware question
Hi,
I have scanned through the archives of this list and found a number of
question about hardware, but I just can not find the answer to my question.
I am new to phone systems, I got "drafted" to come up with a new phone
system for our company (I guess they figure since I know computers I know
phone systems as well :O).
We have 5 analog (I guess they are called PSTN lines) lines coming
