Need 3.3v 64 PCI Booard with 800FSB (for ordinary Pentium4, not Xeon)
Just spended ~ hour googling - all boards are based on GC-XX or I750X
Chipsets - all for Xeons. There also some boards for Pentium 3.
Can someone point me to a board with 64Bit 3.3v PCI for ordinary P4 with
800Mhz FSB.
Thanks

Will this work? server+centOS5+100users?
I am an experienced MS administrator of W2003 servers & Exchange systems.
I have 5+ years UNIX mid-level experience but not in centOS. Grounded in SCO UNIX (the real SCO UNIX).
We want to use CentOS on a recently grave yarded Dell poweredge 400SC server.
This is a P4 3.0 Ghz, w/4GB memory, 2 SATA 250 GB disks.
We want to use this server w/CentOS5, to provide file and print resources to 100 users.

asterisk performance
Hi all,
We are using
- a dell sc440(Single dual-core intel xeon 3040, 1.86GHz,1066MHz front size bus 2MB cache) as the asterisk server
- dell 400sc(Intel P4) as a SER server
- digium isdn card, TE120P at Asterisk server
- Bandwidth: 2Mbps/512kbps
All SIP Phones are registered to SER server, and SER will route all outgoing calls to Asterisk server. My problem is the sound quality goes down if more than 3 concurent calls to PSTN.
Logically i t...

MusicOnHold with mpg123
Alright, I've come across a really strange issue and I've been banging
my head trying to figure it out.
I have 3 machines. 1 Dell Dimension 4100, Pentium 3. 1 Dell 400SC,
Pentium 4. 1 Dell 1600SC, Xeon. I run mpg123 0.59r on each machine.
Using RH9 with a 2.4.20-8 kernel, each machine plays MoH flawlessly.
As RH9 gets older and older, however, the need to upgrade arose. So I
upgraded each machine to CentOS 4.3, with various 2.6 kernels ranging
from 2.6.22 to 2...

Stuck at GRUB
Hi,
I have a Dell poweredge 400SC here with an LSI scsi card.
I installed Centos4 a while ago and put it in a datacenter. I rebooted
many weeks after, and the machine didn't come back up. So I went to the
datacenter tonight to find out that the server was stuck at "GRUB".
Nothing more.
So I decided to re-inst...

ultra-cheap asterisk box -> sorta OT, more a bout Dell
...Dell. Configure the box w/ 128mb of RAM,
and as soon as you get the RAM, rip it out and buy 3rd party, which is as
much as 50% cheaper and in most cases is *exactly* the same RAM as the Dell
box. Your box dies? Take out your RAM, stick in your original 128mb, then
call Dell.
As an example, on the 400SC mentioned here, I can get a 512mb stick from a
Vancouver place that I order from (ncix.com) for $102 Cdn!!!
3. First thing we do when we get Dells is throw away the driver disks
because they are useless. Instead, we open up the box, determine what
chipsets they use, and download new drivers from t...

Power alarm on module 1, resetting.
Any clues as to what this is? Google isn't much help. Both cards have the
power connector plugged in, and both randomly give me static instead of a
dialtone, or an outside line.
Cards are 1 4 Port TDM400 FXO, and 1 4 Port TDM400 FXS. Computer is a
Compaq Proliant ML330
The full error is as follows:

2 x100p + Static + echo
Hello
I recently have got my setup up and running. I am using 2 x100p cards in
a Dell 400SC.
I get static (inbound and outbound) within the first 20 seconds on one
card, but on the other card it is crystal clear all the time. They both
have their own irq and I have tried to remedy the problem by doing a
hdparm found in the wiki, but still nothing. I've tried rxgain and
txgain, but t...

2.4.x-SMP vs. 2.6.x-SMP
Hi *,
I want start with a setup of Asterisk with a clean PC.
This PC is a SMP-Machine with two 466MHz CPUs, a Acer ISDN card and a
AVM Fritz! PCI card.
Which Kernel is better for my constellation (Asterisk with SMP, CAPI and
ZAPHFC)?
Kernel 2.6.x or Kernel 2.4.x?

hardware issues under 5.6
Folks,
This is, umm, odd. Two, at least, and possibly a third over the
weekend, of some older Dell 1950's, suddenly died shortly after being
upgraded to 5.6. They're all about the same age, and it's not happening
with other systems, but they claim a scsi abort, and the f/s goes
read-only. The little lcd screen goes orange, and shows a fatal error E

Dell PowerEdge 750 rackmount
Hi-
I have an upcoming order for a bunch of asterisk boxes, and I'm considering
using an "assembled" package for the server, instead of building them from
components as I usually do.
Does anyone have experience with the Dell PowerEdge 750 server, or any other
1U rackmount server for use with asterisk?
Thanks in advance

I wouldn't make a fuss about this. sarge is at least as good
as woody and much more up to date for the stuff asterisk can
