Hello,
I am using a GTX660, NVE6 (GK106) on arch linux.

It doesn't apply the resolution. dmesg prints:

I tried to encode two minutes from an AVI DV file 720x480:
ffmpeg latest release produces a FLV 320x240 25fps 360k video 40k audio in about 45 sec.
ffmpeg latest release produces an OGG 320x240 25fps 360k video 40k audio in about 1:20 sec.
ffmpeg2theora the same in about 2 minutes or more.
The FLV quality it's quite good, some dropped frames maybe.

Krad Pipe To
https://gist.github.com/oneman/5394332
This is a little hack for sending -live encoded- WebM streams to Icecast
from STDIN.
An example (I was using libav from git, params likely different between
libav, ffmpeg etc programs)
avconv -v debug -f video4linux2 -s 320x240 -r 10 -i /dev/video0 -vcodec
libvpx -threads 2 -vb 128k -r 10 -f webm pipe:1 | krad_pipe2
europa.kradradio.com 8008 /pipetest123.webm firefox
Requires an Icecast 2.4 beta server. Testing on the above server is OK.
gcc -Wall -o krad_pipe2 krad_pipe2.c
sudo cp krad_pipe2 /usr/local/bin

Limiting bandwidth to around max. 8k per second - possible? UPDATE
...we got it working with 176x144 resolution.
The following string produced an image that was not falling behind too
much for too long - basically a little when it was getting TONS of
movement, and then catching up fast.
"65 58 110 0 1 1 90 8 120 1 1 "
Now, we need to get this working on a 320x240 resolution, too (as sadly
VP3 does not support 160x120. Seems to be a little senseless, though.
Whatever we do, we dont get the bandwidth down enough. Now, we need one
of the "standard resolutions" (160x120 or multiples) for some cameras
here to work.
Any hint?

Problem for change the resolution of the screen
Hello, i wanted change the resolution of the screen to 320x240, but
now it seems an impossible task, even configuring the resolution
characteristics to create a new resolution, even for the resolution
created by default, in no way is it possible to configure this
resolution without the screen remaining in black as an undetected
mode.

question regarding sub 640x480 resolutions
Hi all,
Recently I was trying Wine with some old games, and I found that Wine
was exiting because it couldn't set my screen's resolution to 320x240
(or 320x200). After fiddling with xorg.conf for half an hour, I
concluded that my laptop's LCD screen wasn't capable of that resolution.
I was able to get Wine to work using the umanaged desktop setting and a
virtual desktop of the exact size that the game was requesting, but
obviously that...

theora-exp encoder issue
...am theora trunk to the exp one and I
encounter a problem with the encoder.
Every video I encode are played like a 'mosaic', I do not know how to
say that. The picture is just a bunch of coloured pixels.
During the encoding process the video stream is defined like that:
File stream.yuv is 320x240 15.00 fps 420 video.
Why 420 ? Why not YUV like for the main theora trunk ?
Another problem:
I just updated theora and the last modification on encoder_example fails:
encoder_example.c: In function 'main':
encoder_example.c:806: error: expected expression before '<<' token...

Theora playing on a FPGA
...video on FPGA.
As I said the implementation is using the NIOS II processor.
Andr? Costa is hard working to use the LEON processor.
The video resolution is 96x80, because we have some FPGA internal
memory constraints.
I will try to use external memory to make possible decode a video of
at least 320x240.
The result can be see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPmMYG6_VgI
More informations coming soon!
Thanks
