Xen and QNX
I am trying to get QNX working with Xen. I''ve going about it in a similar way as installing windows with Xen, but when I start the guest up to install the OS it hangs on the line: ''Hit Esc for .altboot.......'' If anyone has managed to get this working, or has any ideas/advice for me here it would be greatly appreciated! Bryan

Via Nano X2 Support?
Hi! Recently got a Via VE-900 board from Fry''s. It has a via nano x2 chip on it, and suggests that it has Intel-compatible virtualization extensions. Has anyone worked with this board yet? I thought it would be nice to have a lower-powered, nearly silent Xen machine sitting on my desk. I tried booting into Xen, but it said it didn''t recognize the processor. I can post

X86_64 and 4GB RAM
Hello, I have an odd problem on a dual processor, dual core Opteron system. Obviosously it is x86_64 so should have no problem large amounts of RAM. The system has 4 GB installed (2GB on each processor). If I boot the system with a fresh install of Debian Etch it sees all the memory fine. dmesg reports: Memory: 4107008k/5242880k available (1929k kernel code, 86836k reserved, 864k data, 176k

Kernel BUG at arch/x86_64/mm/../../i386/mm/hypervisor.c:197
Hello list, I just got this ominous bug on my machine, that has already been seen several times: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2006-01/msg00180.html The machine is very similar, it''s a machine with two dual-core opterons, running one of the latest xen-3.0.3-unstable (20060926 hypervisor, and a vanilla 2.6.18 + xen patch from Fedora from 20060915). no console when using xl toolstack xen 4.1.2
Hello! I was asking for help on the Freenode channel, and I was pointed here. I have a situation where, using xl, I can create a functional PV domU, with or without pv-grub, but I cannot access the console. Firing up xend and using xm works without trouble. Since xend and company is being deprecated, I would like to transition to using the xl toolstack. The system is an Arch Linux system

3.0.4 ACPI support and Opteron 2210 ?
Hello, I originally posted this to xen-users, but someone suggested I post it here. I am having ACPI problems on a PenguinComputing Altus1600 system. It has 2x dual core Opteron 2210 processors. The system boots with a standard Debian or Ubuntu SMP kernel, with ACPI enabled. However the xen live cd, binary xen install, as well as my own custom compile of xen 3.0.4 from source will not boot.

System reboots after "Scrubbing free RAM" Xen 4.0.1 linux 2.6.37-rc3
Hi Everyone I have sorted out the initial issues I''ve had and decided to give Xen another go. I''m trying to run Xen using kernel 2.6.37-rc3 (previous attempt with rc1 failed, and when I gave it a second go, rc3 was already out). As previously, 2.6.37-rc3 boots fine natively. 2.6.32 boots natively and under Xen as dom0, but I have reservations against running 2.6.32,
