Cyberpower Value1200E might not need 0.667 battery scaling
I just got a Cyberpower SOHO Value 1200 ELCD UPS and even with nut 2.7.2, it appears to report battery voltage too low due to the battery scaling function (In drivers/cps-hid.c). Even though the ups has usb id: 0764:0501, UPS.PowerSummary.Voltage reports 26.6 for the 24V batteries so when the 0.667 battery scale is applied that goes down to 17.7V. upsc output: battery.charge: 100

using cvlm to do cross-validation
Hello, I did a cross-validation using cvlm from DAAG package but wasn't sure how to assess the result. Does this result means my model is a good model? I understand that the overall ms is the mean of sum of squares. But is 0.0987 a good number? The response (i.e. gailRel5yr) has min,1st Quantile, median, mean and 3rd Quantile, and max as follows: (0.462, 0.628, 0.806, 0.896, 1.000, 2.400) ?

read in data, maintain decimal places
Good day, All, Is there any way to maintain the number of decimal places in the type of situation below? I would like to maintain the number of decimal places in 0.667, despite the fact that its column-mates have a fourth decimal place. Thank you for your time. NaN with ccf() for vector with all same element
hello, i have been using ccf() to look at the correlation between lightning and electrogamnetic data. for the most part it has worked exactly as expected. however, i have come across something that puzzles me a bit: > x <- c(1, 0, 1, 0, 1, 0) > y <- c(0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0) > ccf(x, x, plot = FALSE) Autocorrelations of series 'X', by lag -4 -3 -2 -1 0

Logistic regression
can you do Logistic regression in R, if so how do you do it and how do you test the fit of a model? -- View this message in context: http://n4.nabble.com/Logistic-regression-tp1059870p1059870.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

contour plot, failing to interpolate through all data
I'm having trouble making contour lines for this attached, sparse dataset (low data:NA ratio!). Is it the high number of NA's, or funny layout of the densities, or something else that's causing this? This is a subsample of the dataset, and I get the same problem when using the full data. The only reason I get any contours is because I'm forcing specific levels. If no levels are

assign index to colnames(matrix)
Hello, I’m trying to follow the syntax of a script from a journal website. In order to create a regression formula used later in the script, the regression matrix must have column names “X1”, “X2”, etc. I have tried to assign these column names to my matrix ScoutRSM.mat using a for loop, but I don’t know how to interpret the error message. Suggestions? Thanks, Paul

Plot by column
Dear list, I have the following matrix. How can I make the following plot? 1. The x-axis has index 1:7, and the first column is plotted against index 1, second against 2, and so on. 2. I want the points from the left upper conner including the antidiagonal to be plotted with col=2, and the rest with col=3 [,1] [,2] [,3] [,4] [,5] [,6] [,7] [1,] 0.589 0.857 0.923 0.944 0.954 0.963

Extracting results from a function output
Hello, I am having hard time obtaining a value from a function. "fit" is a survival function that produces some results, such as "median", "confidence intervals" etc. But str() function does not list these values. How can I extract these to be able use them? For example, I need "median" value for the group DrugA which is 48. "Print" function does

Comparing proportions between groups
Hello there, I have two groups (men and women) and I know per group how many of them smoke or don't smoke (women 40 of 200; men 100 of 300). I would like to know how I can compare in R if men and women differ significantly in their smoking. However, because there are more men in the sample than women I cannot just compare the number of smokers and non-smokers in both groups, right?! (I would

multi-class classification using rpart
Hi, I am trying to make a multi-class classification tree by using rpart. I used MASS package'd data: fgl to test and it works well. However, when I used my small-sampled data as below, the program seems to take forever. I am not sure if it is due to slowness or there is something wrong with my codes or data manipulation. Please be advised ! The data is described as the output from str()
