samba - Mar 2014 - Upgrading from Samba 4.0.1 to 4.1.6

I have two servers in two different offices that are VPN's.  I have them
setup in a PDC/BDC setup.  I would like to upgrade to the latest version of
samba but feel like I need to do more than compile the latest version and
then click make install :)  I think I need to upgrade the database and a
couple of other things.  Is there a document somewhere that explains the
steps?

I'm compiling this on Ubuntu 12.04.

If you don't have a Samba AD, there should be nothing more required that 
compile and install over.

But of course always have a look at the release notes of the version 
between your old and new one.
