[Samba] Accessed denied to shares unless IP address is used
I just upgraded from Ubuntu feisty server edition to Ubuntu hardy server. Samba updated to version 3.0.28a.The smb.conf is the same I had before (checked that).

Usually this issue resolves if you enable wins server on samba and add samba server ip as wins server on windows client. see the: http://oreilly.com/catalog/samba/chapter/book/ch07_03.html section 7.3.3 -- Eero
