Hi,
First you need to have samba configured as a domain. There are several
guide out there to help you.
Secondly, you need to create a domain group that you will add to the
administrator group of the XP machine. That way, you will not have to
touch the machine itself to promote a user to administrator.
Third, you need to add that user to the "XP administrator domain
group"
on the samba domain.
It just works as a Windows Domain. Remember that no user will be admin
without these groups as Windows has no idea of what to do with them.
With a group, Windows will be able to associate that user to an admin
group.
